Hi! I have similar problem and i deactivate WP-Rocket, and i begin to reindexing some web-stories. I will try another cache plugin today to tried to fixing this.

I have the same problem, but with no traffic from Google Discover. I think because some posts its get some strikes, but in Search Console not show any problems.

I have traffic, but only direct and from traditional search. I was pretty discouraged after having gone through the least problem, but I’m still doing new webstories, even without more traffic.

Not resolved. In mobile its better, but in desktop browser its blurry.

In ths image i fixed with a new crop (using Gimp editor). The first image its using an wallpaper resolution (1920×1080), with background configuration. The second image its cropped, with 810×1440:

In another image, i tried to reupload the image, with 1600×900 pixels and set to backgroud. Its blurry.

In my all new webstories i need to re-cropped all imagens with Gimp/Photoshop to tried the better resolution. Im mobile its ok, but to get better results i need to upload in similar resolutions (like 640×900 or similar).

@swissspidy yeah. The page 4 its better. In other posts, without image background and i cover entire page with image (in page 2), the image its sets for 450.

Hi @shetheliving in example for Company of Heroes, the problem its in all pages. I deactivate the Jetpack photon and clear the cache (with Wp_Rocket) and not working.

In page 4, gets this image URL (450×253):

Yes, it’s correct. I will try to get the webmasters section too in next days.

My only concern its the web vitals because the square thumbnail image.

Yes, I tried to disable a third-party AMP plugin, but after an error with the Newspaper’s mobile theme, I won’t try it again for now (I will wait for the new version of the theme to new tests).

In another recent web story, I changed the method to create and set all images as “background”, so the “preload” doesn’t appear anymore. A curious detail, there are duplicate javacripts and “unused javacript”: as I set up the “Site Kit” and put the Adsense settings manually (in addition to using another analytics plugin) does this end up generating this? I am using the “Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP)” and Google Site Kit.

For Google Site Kit, the only connected services in my blog its Search Console and Adsense

In new tests i will tried to use gzip, but i don’t have much knowledge about this.

I will tried to change the cache plugin: I’m using the WP Super Cache instead of the WP Total Cache, and ‘ don’t get much performance for now, but it’s helped as little.

About the size of the images, some images will get bigger because quality. And i tried to test some “webp” images encoders and I saw limitations on the number of images that I can convert.

Thanks for response. In Page Speed Insights, it listed the AMP Optimizer, but i don’t have much knowledge for this.

You have any recommended aditional plugins, with the web stories support? I updated the WP Total cache configuration and i begin tests with Hummingbird WordPress plugin.

In this web stories, it gets 35 in mobile and 88 in desktop format. One recommendation its “Preload important resources”. How i can test this ? Because some slides from web stories i dont create the page with image in background format.
