I’ve tracked it down to changes in rewrite.php and it may have something to do with $use_verbose_page_rules and one of the new functions.

(I downgraded rewrite.php and the old behavior is back without any other ill effects. Also numeric tags have now gone back to the old behavior and stopped working… i.e. /tag/2001/ generates the page I have set with permalink “tag”)

Is anyone more familiar with rewrite.php and able to comment on this?

I see the same thing. If I edit and save an old post, then it appears in search results. So it seems like there is some new field/flag that the search is now looking for.

Hey thanks. I was looking at the same issues. Your workaround works for me. You can pass mostly the same args to get_bookmarks() too, but if you can ever figure out how to do it with wp_list_bookmarks() let us know. I’m still playing around with it myself.

As far as having 2 default categories, I noticed that too. Under options you can now set a default post cat and a default bookmark cat (or I guess they could be the same). So it looks like this is perfectly ok, although it would have been nice if it said ‘Default Bookmark’ or something like that.
