In reply to: [Advanced Editor Tools] TinyMCE-only stylesThat file does not exist. Now what?
Thanks for your response David. I’m pretty sure the table in question is an artifact from another plugin, but since I am not 100% sure I have not deleted it. The reason I posted this is because WP Optimize is “seemingly stuck” (hanging) when it hits this table. While I appreciate what you say here, it would be more ideal if there was a WP Optimize option to “ignore tables with 0 records”.

In reply to: [Admin Custom Login] Conflict with Backup GuardI asked BackupGuard if there were any differences between Free and Pro. They said:
The logic for download is the same for both, Free and Pro versions.
They also indicated that if you are having any problems, you should reach out to them and they will help you. Remember to include ticket #846184 so that they know what you are trying to do.

In reply to: [Admin Custom Login] Conflict with Backup GuardI’m afraid I can’t share the Pro plugin because it is licensed for 5 sites and these are all taken. However, the problem is reproducible without being in Pro as it is the same UI issue in the Admin of BackupGuard. The free BackupGuard should suffice.
If it does not, please let me know why and I will ask BackGuard support to make an exception on my license to 6 sites so that you can use it. I will need to explain what is preventing you from using the free version, so please be prepared to give a detailed explanation.
Alternatively, you could ask BackupGuard yourself and give them my ticket #846184.

Here is a screen shot of what it is not working and what it should be working: https://www.screencast.com/t/aV7W3fXbUg

In reply to: [Admin Custom Login] Conflict with Backup GuardPlease note that when you go to the stage environment site, you may get an error in your browser. If your browser is showing you that something is still going on (i.e. in Chrome, the tab icon continues to spin), just a few more moments and the site will come up fine.
This is a GoDaddy issue but does not prevent you from getting to the site, you just have to be patient.

In reply to: [Admin Custom Login] Conflict with Backup GuardHere is the link to the stage environment, which is a mirror of the production site and also demonstrates the problem: Shapiro Cloud.
Yes, it is happening in the admin back-end. An example is to go to BackupGuard: click “Backups”, then click the blue download icon. What you should see is a choice of downloading the log file or the actual backup. When clicking, the choices do not appear. Other BackupGuard icons/buttons that have single actions (no icon/button) work fine.
How do I privately send you the credentials?
Thank you so much!

In reply to: [Members - Membership & User Role Editor Plugin] TimeoutYes, I did on my own and then again with GoDaddy Support as we are in a hosted environment and they have some “must use” plugins that I was also suspicious about. As we turned on each plugin everything worked. We waited on Members last because we suspected that was the problem, and sure enough it was.
I did not try doing it the opposite way because the site depends on the other plugins for content and features and we want privitazing the site to then be compatible. I really like Members, but further trial-and-error shows that My Private Site plays nice with the other plugins. I’d love to go back to Members if the timeout can be fixed.

In reply to: PHP snippetsThanks Jose! I just installed My Private Site and that seems to be doing the trick without interfering in anything else. Should that ultimately prove to not work, I will give this a try. Many thanks!
Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: PHP snippetsBut to my earlier point, even media would be protected with my simplified outlook of seeing if the person visiting a page or anything else in the site’s path is validated as a user or thrown out.
Is my concept of how to do this an oversimplification? Seems to me that if you are catching “https:[site]…..” and then validating if the user is registered, you have completely protected the site. Is there something that invalidates the thought?
Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: PHP snippetsI’m not so concerned about media, which for us is only photos. I just want to lock out anyone who is not a registered user as pages, tabs, accordions, etc. have very private information.
Thanks – very useful page to show plugins that might have issues. Is there a page like this for WP at large?
