  • I just tried to set up a test case and the problem did not occur. There has been a couple of updates since I first reported the problem, so perhaps it is fixed on my site.

    I’m a single site install.
    I am using 1.7.2.
    1. Settings
    X-Accel-Redirect / X-Sendfile: Off
    Prevent hotlinking: On
    Download Endpoint: download
    Endpoint Value: Download slug
    Hashes: all off
    Logging enabled:
Blacklist IPs: 192.168.0.* plus one other.
    Blacklist user agents: Googlebot

    2. I’m hosted on SiteGround. Not sure how to dig out the server specifics.

    3. No options set in the downloads.

I’ll try to set up a test case for you.

To clarify, the problem occurs when I download from the dlm_uploads directory. If I put the files in the standard we uploads directory, it works.

I’ve worked around the issue by not using the DLM to upload. I upload via Media Manager instead.

I am experiencing truncated downloads on 1.6.3 as well. What I’ve determined is that files that are downloaded from the dlm_uploads directory exhibit the problem — they are 5k smaller than if I download the same file via FTP. If store the file in the standard WP uploads folder, download monitor downloads it with no corruption.

The missing 5k appears to be an encoded license stamp that has been filtered out.

BTW. These files were originally uploaded through the DM front-end. They have since been updated via FTP.
