In reply to: [Astra] Why is site title H1 tagged? How to change it?There’s a guide if you want to change the page/post title here:
https://wpastra.com/docs/change-heading-tag-for-post-title/So you could set it to H2 for example, but for good SEO you really want your page title to be H1 and your site title to be H2, but no filter for that.
The theme file inc/markup-extras.php sets the site tag:
// Site Title. $tag = 'span'; if ( is_home() || is_front_page() ) { $tag = 'h1'; }

In reply to: Need schema markup for new Google image licenses! There is a plugin called Media Library Organizer that lets you edit meta data on images already uploaded into your WP media library (https://wpmedialibrary.com/). Sadly it doesn’t support the required licencing IPTC fields currently, but I asked if they would add this option and they thought it was a good idea. So might be an option if they do implement it.
I hope they will also allow bulk updates because I have almost 500 images on my site that I don’t want to re-upload…

In reply to: Need schema markup for new Google image licenses! You need some way to set the IPTC metadata on your images.
By my reading of the Google requirements (here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/image-license-metadata), the minimum you need to set is “Copyright Info URL” and “Licensor URL”.
You might be able to set (some of) this on your camera. For example on my camera I can set “Artist” and “Copyright” which map to the IPTC fields “Creator” and “Copyright” and also sets the IPTC copyright status to “Copyrighted”. However, this does not actually set the required fields! You camera may vary.
You can use various software to set metadata on an image. For example Adobe Lightroom can do this (and if you set an import preset, all your images will have the fields set when you import).
In Lightroom’s Library module, under Metadata, “Copyright Info URL” is under “IPTC” and “Licensor URL” is under “IPTC Extension” by default.
Other metadata editing apps are available.

Not sure if its a wp version thing, but when I add a new portfolio project the slug is based on the project title – so a title of “vegan potato soup” gives a slug of “vegan-potato-soup” and a url something like https://elegantlyvegan.com/portfolio/vegan-potato-soup.
Is this not what you get?

In reply to: [NextGEN Download Gallery] Error when trying to open downloaded zip folderHey Ross,
Just installed 1.3.1, and seems to work great with downloading large zips now.
Nice work, thankyou.

In reply to: [NextGEN Download Gallery] Error when trying to open downloaded zip folderHi,
Same problem here.
I have full res images which are about 4Mb (I’m using the filter to redirect the download to the full sized file).
I can download 1 or 2 together, but beyond that my downloaded zip file is empty.
I have tried adding WP_TEMP_DIR as described above, but still get a problem.
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks,
Rob“no lightbox” is back ?? I have my pinterest lightbox back.
Thankyou.Same here – no “none” option for lightbox. Really need it now since lightbo seems to be broken now and I wanted to try re-activating pinterest lightbox…
I raised the same issue here.
In that thread Photocrati replied that they were aware of this issue and a fix will be included in the next release (due next week).
There is a beta you can download in the meantime, but for now I have disabled Pinterest Lightbox plugin on my site.
thanks for this ??

In reply to: [Social Media Widget by Acurax] Tumblr button?+1
yeah, it happens on my site too, I have random images in the sidebar using NextGen Gallery Widget and my gallery on the main page “runs into” the random images when using the right arrow to move through the gallery.
here’s an example:

would love to be able to fix this.
RobHere is an example from my post sitemap – images are definitely in there, but still none are indexed:

Same problem here.
I’m using NextGen Gallery and Yoast WordPress SEO which has generated an XML sitemap for my images, and Google webmaster tools says I have 400+ images submitted, but not one has been indexed.
The images have alttext and description.
This is my site:
Catwalk CaptureI was wondering about captions…I have enabled on one gallery on my site so will see if Google picks up on these images.
