In reply to: Comments will not display on my blog siteHi Samuel,
When I access the Discussion setting in WordPress, I get the following warning message from the jquery-migrate plugin.jQuery Migrate Helper — Warnings encountered
This page generated the following warnings:jQuery.fn.andSelf() replaced by jQuery.fn.addBack()
jQuery.fn.andSelf() replaced by jQuery.fn.addBack()
Please make sure you are using the latest version of all of your plugins, and your theme. If you are, you may want to ask the developers of the code mentioned in the warnings for an update.I’m not sure which plugin is producing this warning?
Any ideas?

In reply to: Comments will not display on my blog siteHi Samuel,
Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded and installed this plugin, however it does not appear to have cured the problem with my users’ comments not being displayed on the blog.Do you have any other suggestions, or might I have to go back to the previous version of WordPress?
Any thoughts appreciated.

In reply to: A Comment won't allow to select, delete, approve or unapproveHi Gaurav,
Many thanks for your help. I will check it out.
Cheers,
RobHi Jeremy,
Actually, I just fixed it. I selected ‘Official Button’ for the display option and now the count is showing. All fixed. Many thanks for your assistance.
Cheers,
RobHi Jeremy. I don’t have a caching service as far as I know. I have never had a problem in the last 2 or so years with the count appearing on the Facebook button, so I’m not sure why it should suddenly stop displaying. Any further thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers,
RobIt is interesting that the Twitter button still has the count on it.
Hi Jeremy. Many thanks for your assistance. I use All in One WP Security. I just deactivated it and then I was able to connect to WordPress.com successfully. I then reactivated All in One WP Security and Jetpack continued to work okay. I notice however that I have lost the count on my Facebook Share button. Is this to do with the latest version (4.2.1) of WordPress which I just took? Or is there some other change which might have caused this?
Regards,
RobHi Jeremy,
I am trying to use my development environment (on my desktop computer) to test out the issue as you suggest. However I am unable to connect my desktop version of Jetpack to WordPress.com. I get the following message.
site_inaccessible Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.me/support/Is there a setting I should be changing on my desktop in order to allow Jetpack to connect with WordPress.com?
Thamks,
RobHi Jeremy,
My installed and activated plugins are:
Askimet
BackupWordpress
Disable jetpack open graphs tag
FD Feedburner Plugin
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Official Statcounter Plugin
Wordpress Importer
WP-Pro-QuizI also have the following plugins which are installed but not activated:
Audio Player
Shrinktheweb Website ThumbnailsI will follow up on the server error log. I did have a chat session with my server team at Crucial about 2 days ago in relation to this issue and they said there were no issues at their end that they could identify.
Cheers,
RobHi Jeremy,
Yes, that seems to have fixed the problem. With Jetpack activated, and this additional plugin activated, the audio player is now showing correctly in all my posts and on my About page. My preview button also works correctly from the edit screen in WordPress. Thanks for your assistance.
Cheers,
RobThere is a close bracket on my audio player code, but it won’t show in the above comment for some reason.
Hi Jeremy,
My home page at https://www.slowenglish.info displays fine. However if you try to go to any individual post (such as https://slowenglish.info/?p=773) or to my About page (https://slowenglish.info/?page_id=433) then the screen is blank. The code I used on these pages for audio was
[audio https://traffic.libsyn.com/slowenglish/podcast29.mp3%5D where the url refers to the location of my audio files, which are hosted on https://www.libsyn.com.I tried deactivating the Shortcode Embeds module but there was no change.
If I deactivate Jetpack, then the all the posts and my About page can again be viewed, but the audio player does not show on any of the posts (although interestingly it continues to show on my About page.
Really appreciate your assistance.
Cheers,
RobSome more information in the interim – when I deactivate Jetpack, the audio player just disappears off the preview screen. The command is still there in the edit screen but appears not to generate the player. However, just to be confusing, the player still shows on my About page. The browser I use appears to have no effect on the outcome.
When I activate Jetpack, the preview screen is completely blank. It is also interesting to note that, with Jetpack activated, my About page displays as completely blank.
