Yep! Twitter is now on fire. Nothing more need be done. The blogger world now knows – and so does the non-blogger world, btu that can’t be helped.
OK Twitter now knows about it. It’s already being retweeted. search on “WordPress Stats” and you’ll see the ripple go through the twittersphere….
Sure just tweet WordPress Stats is broken. A stream will come to life immediately. Actually I’ll do that now. Who knows it may get into the top ten twitter trends…
By the way, for anyone who cares. I just checked out the plug-in code – to see if there was a simpel way to skip a login request in it. Actually it’s really well written. But I couldn’t fidn an obviosu get-around.
I wonder if whoever is responsible is aware of this or any other forum threads that have spontaneously erupted. If so it would serve them well to slip a brief expalnation and status update in here, so we can all go back to cursing Microsoft…
The more depressing scenario is that some data got deleted from some table and it will have to be reloaded. In which case the fix may take a little longer.
Amazing how easy it is to get really annoyed with what is, after all, a free service…
Whoever caused this problem is probably now in a blind panic trying to fix it. It’s gotta be simple – something to do with the initial call to the server. So my guess is that it will be fixed by end of day. We could hold a sweep on how fast it gets fixed…
This is all happening all at once to everyone. I’m guessing that this is a problem of the server that serves these stats up. I think it is broken in some way. Therefore, I guess, we’ll just have to wait and see…
I’ve got the same problem. I never changed anythign on the blog. Suddenly it just staretd to happen. Can’t think of anything to do to change it. I tried reinstalling the plug-in. It had no effect.
I’m thinking of switching to Google for stats. It’s the only way out I can think of.
