WordPress and Elementor did an update that seems to fix the issues.

I’m really sorry for the late reply. Please give it another try with the latest version of WP and Elementor and I hope everything will work just perfectly.

FYI: “You can’t drag inner sections onto the canvas.” it was never intended to work that way. You’ve to right-click and use the context menu to create a nested section.

But we assure everything works fine on our test. Please try it one more time and feel free to let us know if it doesn’t work. We will be very happy to debug using your site assets.

I apologize for the very late reply. I just checked the plugin with the latest version of WordPress 5.5.3 and Elementor 3.0.13 and Pro 3.0.6.
Everything worked perfectly fine for me.

I request you to give it another try and if it still doesn’t work, please reply here and I’ll be more than happy to investigate personally.

FYI: There is no longer a dedicated duplicate button to duplicate a section. You’ve to right-click on the section and click on duplicate from the context menu. To copy styles just right click over the section, click copy then click paste styles on the other section that you want to stylize.

Here are the things that I tried to test with everything updated to the latest version:

? Able to create an inner section by right-clicking on the section.
? Duplicate the whole inner section.
? Copy, paste styles.
? Move section position.

Everything worked perfectly fine for me. While trying to move the section position I saw some shaking but hold your mouse left click and it settles within a second in the right position.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, it’s absolutely possible.
Actually you don’t even need a nested column/section for this design.
Simply get a full-width row and equal height columns inside.
Add text in the left column and use some padding on every side. In the right column, simply add the image as background.

I’m extremely sorry for forgetting the most important thing and not writing the usage guide.

Actually the usage of this plugin quite straight forward. Go to edit a page with Elementor, right-click over the column, and there you will see the Add Nested Section menu. Click on the menu item and you should have a nested section.
