I have tried this great plugin too. On my site there are NO problems with german umlauts (with or without snippet). I have added <meta charset="UTF-8"> in the Header.

Put this PHP-Code on the page you are displaying the events:

date_default_timezone_set('Europe/Berlin');

replace Europe/Berlin with your Timezone

the update for GCal API v3 works fine, but doesn’t show all-day events. Is there any way to fix it?
