I checked all my plugins, and it seems that Perfmatters is causing the issue. It was added by BigScoots, my host so will check with them.

The odd thing is that when I select “details” in the wordpress plugin setup, it comes back saying the plugin can’t be found? When I try to add a new plugin and search for it, wordpress does not list it.

The smush comment for an image is also wrong now. It used to show the total number smushed. Now each image says that only 4 or 5 have been smushed.

For the latest image it says “4 images reduced by 1.2 KB ( 1.7% )
Image Size: 36.1 KB”

For the previous image it says “4 images reduced by 1.9 KB ( 2.2% )
Image Size: 58.4 KB”

The way I upload images is from inside a post. Use Add media, then select to upload an image. There is no selection for list mode. This method is not working.

I went to media – library directly, selected list mode, then add new. The new image is marked as ” smushing in progress”, but it never updates the display to say process is finished. If I refresh the screen, the image is marked as being smushed.

It was working and then stopped. It still works in manual mode, in the media library, but needs to be done manually after each picture is loaded.

I have whatever the download gives me. It is probably single site. I had to add it to each site separately.

How do you run plugin conflict test?

Ok – i think I understand what you are saying. I added another menu item called test which links to the test post.

I then need to change the wording of the question. How do I add a menu item that will point to the list of posts? In menus there is no option to select a ‘archive’ type menu.

I don’t understand your comment – It is linked to two posts, not one. the second one is called test.

What is an archive? In my other blogs, I don’t link to an archive, but these other blogs do not use a static front page.

I tried the suggestion form curiousit – did not fix the problem.

The plugin takes the first image in the post and uses it without resizing it. If the post has a large image – it is large in the category list. If it is a thumbnail in the post, it is a thumbnail in the list.

I still have a problem with the above.
I have date, author and excerpts working. Images are being displayed. But thumbnail_size is not re-sizing the image.

I found the problem. WP had inserted incorrect code tags inside the shortcode.</p>
<p>Editing them manually to:
code[catlist id=7 thumbnail=yes force_thumbnail=yes thumbnail_size=150,150]code
works.

No idea why they were wrong.
