I put this shortcode on the page where I want the form to appear

[mailpoet_form id=”1″]

in the previous version it was different, so the form was sending new subscribers to Mail Poet 2 subscriber list.

That shortcode is the coolest thing since sliced bread.

Copy and paste from 2 to 3 subscribers. Then, change the form. The old MP2 calls the old subscriber database. Look at the code in your form. The old shortcode called wysija. That doesn’t work in MP3.

Same problem here, suddenly all previous emails are missing, all drafts, all current emails, all of them are missing.

I deleted the cache in AutoOptimize and they all came back.

Thank you VERY MUCH for helping to make some sense of this issue by simply suggesting which option to click. I finally found that setting, but its not in the place you suggested.

In Event Manager’s PAGES Settings (not general settings), go to Event List/Archives sub menu, then hunt for “Include in WordPress Searches?” Yes or No. Allow events to appear in the built-in search results.

Sure enough, that does the trick. I can’t imagine why this setting would be turned off anyway.

Thanks for sharing some info on why its not working, although it works well in one of my three sites, so it’s not n issue where all instances of event created by Events Manager are a problem. Please drill down further, contact Event manager developers and offer us a solution at the soonest convenience.

I think many others have the same problem. I use both Events Manager and Mail Poet 3 on three of my WP sites and two do not work, so it might be related to the themes.

Never had this problem with Mailpoet 2.

I don’t see that choice in my menus. Is this something coming soon? Thanks.

I just installed Mail Poet 3 on another site I admin that also uses Events Manager, sitting alongside Mail Poet 2, same as the first site. It also does not find events when adding posts to a new Mail Poet 3 newsletter, but it does see a post type named project.

That 0 for 2 on my end trying to get Mail Poet 3 to work with Events Manager. I hope its working for others, but sorry its a no-go for me at this point. No response from the developers at all.

I have to copy the event info and paste it as text. It’s just not finding those event posts. This takes a lot of time and it’s no longer nearly effortless.

Also, after sending a newsletter out, I have no more list showing who opened or clicked on the email, how many never opened, just simple percentage shown.

Mail Poet 2 was much better at this. The only advantage I see to the new one is the ability to use two and three column sections in the layout, which look real nice.

Mail Poet 3 is still beta as far as I can see, but it’s obviously evolving to support their own sending infrastructure, which is probably a better income stream. I use MailGun happily and don’t want to switch.

Events Manager events are still available on the same site using MailPoet 2.

Cant use MailPoet 3 if I cant add events to the messages.

Tried removing a few plug0ins to see if there was a conflict, with no luck, and not change in the issue.

I appreciate your prompt response. I believe that giving the cache an exception string like /events/ could keep that page from being cached and eliminate that problem, if it’s not an issue that slows down delivery of the events page. Changing themes is problematic since I am using divi and it breaks the custom code elements this unique theme creates. Will advise my results from more testing. I’m inclined to purchase the pro version if I can get a good result.

WP Super Cache seems to give your plug-in problems. I hope we can find a way to use them together.

Just to clarify, when I use the current link (#_EVENTICALLINK), it opens a text file in my browser, rather than download the event .ics file to the desktop or the downloads folder. Is that behavior the issue? If the file was downloaded, rather than displayed in the browser, I could click on it and add the event to my calendar. Is this correct?

There are many sites that allow the simple click of a button to add an event item to one’s personal iCal calendar. I believe other web sites use a method that includes asking the user to which iCloud email address (belonging to that user) the file should be sent. Does this make sense? Is there a way to implement this easily? Thanks for the help and advice.
