I have asked about this numerous times. These basic simple functions were removed for use by paying customers only. It’s a sorry mistake. Our reputations depend on removing deadbeats from our lists so we do not inundate their mail accounts with unwanted messages. So far, the development team has refused to consider this simple request. I am very disappointed. Thanks for speaking about this issue. Let’s hope that common sense might prevail.
Excellent idea.
was this fixed?
These super-low limits are meant for someone that is sending mail out through their own user account, through a service like aol, gmail, or earthlink, where it’s odd to send out one email every minute, much less a list of several hundred or several thousand in a row.
These very low limits are for new users who know nothing about sending out newsletters, who might not understand the limits of their own host.
Some hosts have hard limits, but sending one email per minute is extremely slow, even for the most conservative hosts. Your reputation is far more likely to suffer from sending our garbage, not sending to a good verified list quickly.
In your case, it does not matter because SendGrid could easily handle 10,000 emails per minute and the built in service for Mail Poet 3 is probably similar.
No need to throttle down when using MailPoet’s servers. They are design to shoot out all the mail quickly and efficiently. This has ZERO effect on your relationship with your internet provider and hosting service.
BTW – if you were using SendGrid, there was no need to throttle that back either. I use mailgun and it’s super-fast.

you can always manually add an image to the top of each post from available images in your library.
Many of us had this same problem and got no help from the MailPoet team. One user found out the issue and the answer. It was a simple setting in the calendar plugin. Go to the Event Manager plug in settings.
Event Manager Options –> Pages –> General Settings –> Event List Archives –>
Look for: Include in WordPress Searches? Mark this one yes.
Options – single columns can have left and right alignment for images. Double and triple columns offer simple image options. You can do it.
So, create the post as normal in a one column section first, then drag it to a prepared two or three column section?

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] mailpoet newsletterHilarious, but not funny. Let’s fix this ASAP. Seriously. Not funny.
I think we’re all having this same problem.
When you offered us an upgrade from v2 to v3, it was supposed to offer more and better options and features, not less basic features. Identifying non-responsive subscribers is a basic need, not a luxury option. Stop taking away basic functions in upgraded versions of the plugin. Put back all the basic features you took away from your users. Add new improved features to add value, but don’t take away the basics.
Don’t you wish all problems were this easy? ??
It’s a common occurrence. At the bottom of the small screen in the right side, you must click on the button at the bottom or it goes away when you click on something else. It’s nice that the post jumps onto the page so you can see it with the settings you’ve chosen, but it’s not really there yet until you confirm with the button on the bottom. I do this all the time.
You address these issues well. I am happy that you take the time to listen to our perspective. Without it, you have no direction except your own perceptions.
Since your biggest complaint is non-delivery, it’s obvious that many users don’t understand the process well, so it’s fine for you to offer viable solutions, and that has value. I don’t disagree. For me, its not an issue. I’ve tried your service on one account and it works very well, comparable to serious transactional services.
I personally would be happy to give you more money, but my clients don’t have it in their budget. It’s the same with many fine plugins. Small clients cannot afford annual fees, monthly fees, hosting, development, updates, etc. they must have a dependable income stream to make this leap of commerce.
In my case, I can only compare your solution to others I’ve used over the past 25 years of hosting sites and email newsletters. Your solution is easy, effective and pleasant, but without the basic ability to judge metrics, deal with bounces, and broadcast to significantly larger audiences. These are limitations that are difficult for me.
Thank you for continuing to improve, respond, evolve, listen. I hope one day your solution works for more of my needs.
