I have exactly the opposite problem concerning it.
How to sometimes avoid the space between paragraphs.

Admin/Settings/Reading/Blog pages show at most – will show the latest post of all posts even in the grandESTchild category.

I need to show the first one of the specified category only.

Yes. I only need one post per category – the lot will confuse my readers.

Or BETTER: help me to display the posts of the category in the order of posting (not backwards), and WITHOUT THE CHILD CATEGORIES.

Please help.
