Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Transient Cleaner] ERROR: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.Hi @dsjenson, I just saw your favorites tab and I can see you’re also using an X theme. Ever since I’m using this theme, I’ve been having the same issue and they were the ones that recommended this plugin. Could it be that it’s their issue and whenever they recommend this, their theme doesn’t adapt to it?
What say you Dartiss?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Transient Cleaner] ERROR: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.Hi @dartiss,
Sorry for my delayed reply. I’m running a regular old WordPress Site with the latest version 4.6 installed, haven’t installed the 4.7 just yet just in case it blocks my whole website.
You can have a look over here.
I was suggested to install it in order to function the correct theme and plugin. Any pointers?
Appreciate it.

In reply to: Plugin blocking my wesbtie to run additional pluginsHi,
I tried both recomendations, disabling and reactivating one by one, but still I can’t see the option to add new. And it turns out that the last plugin I uploaded via FTP is the one I would like to make work.
I seem to be having conflict with the theme also. Could it be the theme has built in plugins which are creating problems? Because I’ve been trying to edit pages for the last week now and I cant seem to enter their predesigned form.
Should there be a problem of plugins not running well uploaded via FTP compared to installing them from WordPress?

In reply to: Can’t use Update tab on my dashboardHi,
Thanks for the heads up.
I’m afraid the DISALLOW_FILE_MODS is not set in the wp-config.php file and no, I don’t have multisite (not that I know of).
I am the Administrator, never did I state I wasn’t. Here’s a print scrn showing I do have the Administrator credentials.
See the above msg? Where it says WordPress 4.6.1? I’ll translate for you: “WordPress 4.6.1. is now available. Please notify the site administrator”All I want to figure out is, since I’m the administrator and I’ve updated many times before through the update tab, why can’t I see it this time and why am I getting such msg?
Checked the permissions and they’re all 755, both directories and files. Unless there’s another box I should check through FTP, I think they should be fine, shouldn’t they?

Stop answering please, you’re driving me insane. Please, I need someone with patience, expertise and good suggestions!!

In reply to: Can’t use Update tab on my dashboardC’mon Steve, I said it since the very beginning
but when I try to do it with my Dashboard update options, there’s no “update” tab in my Dashboard, only a message saying “WordPress 4.6.1 is now available”
No, I don’t have multisite. You gotta tell me whether you can give help or not.

In reply to: Can’t use Update tab on my dashboardAll I need is the update tab to appear on my Dashboard. Doesn’t anyone have a feasible solution? I need to step up and get back to editing and can’t cause I’m stuck with not being able to upload anything.

In reply to: Can’t use Update tab on my dashboardThanks, but I don’t follow why your numeric values don’t follow any of the recommendations I’ve searched online, like this one. Are you sure these are the correct numeric values?
BTW, to be clear, which are the directories and files?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Can’t use Update tab on my dashboardI just checked via FTP after looking for it online, the themes have a 555 and the uploads a 755. Moreover, both don’t have checked the Write boxes, only the Read and Execute boxes. Is this something I should also have checked?
