I also think that it lost some of my stats from today, as the numbers seem lower than I’d expect.

I like some of the new stats features but some I don’t like. As in the Other Posts, Other Sources, or Other Search Terms. They are hyper links but they don’t expand to show you the detailed info. You can’t get it at a daily level, apparently, just if you click into a 7 day view.

I had the same problem. I tried the fix someone advised listed here:

But it didn’t work. So I had to use the Jetpack WP stats, which seem to work okay.

It seems that hovering over the bar for the daily stats, doesn’t always give you the hover box with the post published that day. Only a couple times it did give me a post published, most of the time it doesn’t list those. Not sure why it isn’t working in that regard….

The plugin told me that all comments are turned on. But I had to disable it then reenable it and batch turn them all on again. At least I didn’t have to manually do all of that. So the plugin helps.

I’ve tried every which way and still every 2-4 weeks this keeps happening.

It is a plugin that lets you automatically update all your posts to turn comments on. Plus there is an “auto” option that apparently automatically keeps it that way. I like it, it’s worked for me so far….

Not sure that I-Power is the problem, although I’ve had problems with them. People on a variety of servers and using a variety of plugins and themes have reported this problem.

This plugin helps, it’s a simpler way of doing what yamama87 mentioned above. It also has an “auto” option to automatically keep comments on. It’s worked for me so far:

Actually, I think the plugin above that tico007 mentions is the answer to this problem. I installed it and turned all my comments on at one touch. Plus there’s an auto box to automatically keep it that way, so I think that will overrule any bug out there for now….

With the “auto” option on this plugin, it might be a work around permanently (assuming it doesn’t mess anything else up)….

Thanks for the tip, I’ll try that plugin to make it easier to fix this issue every couple weeks when it happens…..

Has it happened since you upgraded to the most recent WP version? In one post you indicated that it had helped….

I have tried with and without various plugins to no avail.

I’m pretty sure I scaled down more than this and it still happened, but I don’t remember.

What I’m going to do is remove WPtouch to see if that helps. Although I have that with another site which this problem doesn’t happen on.

My theme is Staypressed theme by Themocracy.

Don’t know what else to do if we continue to get no help on this.

It’s still happening to me on 3.0.5. Arggh… But about every 2 weeks not every day.

I don’t know how to test this. Once the settings get flipped again so people have to login and no comments are allowed globally and comments are disallowed on every individual post. My question is, do I just deactivate plugins and change the theme right then to see if something I change fixes it? Previously I’ve restored all the settings manually then changed themes and erased plugins.

It’s dangerous to leave Akismet off and keep comments opened for 2 weeks waiting for the bug to reappear or not.

I really wish they would step in and help diagnose this. It seems to be a widespread bug.
