I’d like some pointers as well on which parts to modify to make this work.

The commenting in the source isn’t very helpful on this.

I don’t have DB cache either… Was running Super-Cache, but deactivated it with no effect.

the problem is intermittent – sometimes I can save a tag, and sometimes not so much – seems to prevent me from using a tag that’s been used before.
