@einatyaor This issue happens because permalink need to refreshed after enable or disable Author Pages.
Please go to WP-admin > Settings > Permalink. Just click save again, and it will flush your permalink and should solved your issue.

@panhead I did not see this issue in our testing. Can you do basic troubleshooting like deactivate all others plugin temporarily to check if the issue persists?

Sorry, we did not test it with the free version. You could try it, the worst case is like you mentioned, they are not synchronized between translations.
