In reply to: URGENT! All in One SEO Not Showing Titles In Search – Please HelpCan anyone help shed some light on this?
Some examples of stories that are not showing properly are these:
“Wii New Year’s Eve: The Game – Exclusive First Look” – the result this story on ripten gets in the google search is simply “Ripten Videogame Blog”
another is this..
“David Jaffe Says 2010 God of War Reboot Would Feature Zelda 64 Open World Elements”
basically – anything we published after 12/26 has shown up this way. It is really frustrating because we take the time to make our headlines as descriptive and accurate as possible, and to see our version get listed as simply “Ripten Videogame Blog” while other sites that frame our content get listed accurately and thereby supersede us in the Google search listing is disheartening. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

In reply to: URGENT! All in One SEO Not Showing Titles In Search – Please HelpI’ve tried everything I can think of. The posts before the 26th all seem to be indexed by google just fine. The only thing I have been able to see is that the homepage pulls the blog name from the SEO plugin while all other pages pull the blog name from the name i type into the general tab in wordpress directly. Im not sure if this was the way it should work or not. Outside that, I know that google is only grabbing the blog name when it indexes my sites plages. If there is anyone out there at all that has this same issue or a solution please chime in.
In closing, the titles all seem to look fine in the browser bar and in the source code so I’m not sure where things are going wrong. For some reason google is ignoring the actual title. It may help to know that it also did the same thing with SEO off. Now, I don’t know if google stores a way to look at your site and that way takes a few days to update … I’m not sure but again – any help would be appreciated.

In reply to: URGENT! All in One SEO Not Showing Titles In Search – Please HelpHere is another update. I noticed that in each post on the backend there is a module for SEO that asks me to input a title, descrip, and keywords. Is this somehow not being updated automatically??

In reply to: URGENT! All in One SEO Not Showing Titles In Search – Please HelpHere is an update guys. It seems that the SEO plugin is only working on the homepage. I took the blog name out from the general tab in wordpress so that there would only be one blog name on file — the one listed in SEO. Upon doing that the home page showed the blog name but the other pages (i.e. posts, pages, and archive) only showed the title. I am not sure what is going on….any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to go back in versions with SEO to 1.48 but nothing seems to make a difference.
