In reply to: Can’t get into wp-admin – Themes not showing up – Help meI’m troubleshooting here and wondering about the following files in my /home/ folder should not be there or should be somewhere else. They are as follows:
.addon-installolg; .addonscgi-Coppermine; .addonscgi-Geeklog; .addonscgi-MamboOpenSource; .bash_logout; .bash_profile; .bashrc; .contactemail; cpaddons_notify; .cpanel-ducache; .filter; .ftpquote; .htaccess.bak; .htaccess.bk; .htaccess.bk1; .htaccess.txt; .htaccess2; .lastlogin; .mailboxlist; .spamassassinboxeanble; .spamassassinenable; .zshrc;I also have the following strange looking folders in the /home/ file:
.paddons; .cpanel; .cpanel-datastore; .fantasticodata; .htpasswds; .neomail; spamassassin; .htpasswds; .neomail; .spamassassin; sqmaildata; .trash
access-logs; cgi-bin; cpmove.psql; etc; logs; mail;I suspect the last two or three folders might be important – but all of them?
I’m just trying to get to the root of my problem with my main domain.
Any ideas?

In reply to: Can’t get into wp-admin – Themes not showing up – Help meTo continue. The “forbidden” error was not my fault but my new host. That’s fixed. However, I still don’t have themes in my site showing up.

In reply to: My Site Is DownHi MichaelH,
The permissions are all 777. I sent an email to “support” to check issues.
Could it have something to do with .htaccess or MySQL? The data is there but somehow not connecting.
What else should I check? Should I reinstall WordPress?

In reply to: migrating to new hostI’m talking about cPanel. I’m talking about MySQL database. From what I’ve read, you have to MySQLdump the data and then import it back into your new database.
Well it does have something to do with the blog. The blog has a database. If you move the database to another host/server, the name will change because the new host gives you a new username.

In reply to: migrating to new hostI did, indeed. In fact, all my files are at the new host. But, along with the new host is a new username. My database has the old username and that is the problem. How do I change the name of the database?

In reply to: wrapping text around image problemThanks kmessinger but that didn’t work for me so I added:
<img class=”alignleft” style=”float: left; margin-left: 5px; vertical-align: top; margin-right: 5px;”That did the trick.

In reply to: can’t upload new headerYes, everything is writeable. It must have something to do with 2.5.1 because no matter what theme I use, where I can upload my own header, all of them give the same message.
Do you think that’s possible?
