  • I found the issue and a work-around. There seems to be a conflict with Cherry Framwework once WP 4.6 is installed. It cause pages not to load fully and the message FATAL ERROR: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /xxxxx/xxxxx/PUBLIC_HTML/WP-INCLUDES/FUNCTIONS.PHP on line 3511 at the bottom of posts/blogs (near to the tags data)

The tags data was my first clue – the error seems to show if you have chosen to display tags meta data on the blog and/or post pages of your site

I opened Cheery Options in the WP admin panel and went to the BLOG tab – on this tab there are options for meta data display – flip the Tags to be displayed option to NO and click SAVE OPTIONS at the bottom of the page.

This stopped the error message and all pages loaded correctly again – all other meta data option work ok – it is just the tags display that seems to be broken – hopefully this will get passed on for an update to Cheery Framework
