In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] suddenly blocked all loginsHello on4bam,
I’m not sure what this could be right now but I will investigate as time allows over the next few days. As above, it’s possible, but I think that to be unlikely, I will test this and look into things further as that is very odd behavior that you experienced.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you also!

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Auto-disable Access Denied MessageIf it’s still working beyond queries exhausted then this is likely a burst token in use, it allows your queries to go beyond your cap by five times. So on the free 1,000 queries plan, using a burst token is then a maximum of 5,000 queries for that day. It is automatic and can happen X times a month depending on plan size (once in a month for the free 1,000 plan).
It would be impossible to detect a proxy or VPN without queries or a burst token being in use.
Proxy & VPN Blocker does not cache IP’s of positive detections of Proxy/VPN, only clean IP’s are cached, as to not be rechecked for the determined time (default is 30 minutes).

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Auto-disable Access Denied MessageHi kbarcza,
I’m not quite sure what you mean by auto disable/redirect for access denied message. Please explain in more detail.
proxycheck.io has burst tokens now, the amount you get depends on your plan. This allows your queries to go beyond your cap by five times and you’ll get a email telling you about this (if you’re registered with API key) which will give you an idea if you’ll need to upgrade.

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] received errorThat would explain it then! I hope it is working as expected for you now.
Thank you again,

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] received errorI have found an issue that seemingly affects some older PHP versions, 7.0.xx, 7.1.xx, 7.2.xx, but not 5.6.xx, 7.3.xx, 7.4.xx and 8.0.0
I am about to push an update to correct this.
Apologies once again and thank you for bringing this to my attention.

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] received errorHi @maleen,
Apologies for this,
Can you please tell me your php version and any other details that may help (the combination of settings you were using in PVB)?
I’ve no idea (yet) what could have caused this for you, I have it enabled on various websites of my own, with some using outdated php versions and no problems so far.
Thank you,

I’m just running some final checks on the next release, apologies that this has taken longer than expected.
Rick.

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Stop WorkingI suggest that you check your proxycheck.io account for any issues with query allowance.

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Stop WorkingBoth sites are using the same plugin set? If they both stopped working at the same time, perhaps one of the plugins that updated?
I am glad that the plugin helped you when it was working.

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Stop WorkingYep, no luck unfortunately. This is quite odd.
You are certain that it used to work? In some rare instances site theme can have an effect. I don’t see anything in your plugin list that stands out otherwise.

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Stop WorkingIt still doesn’t appear to be working and lets me through. ??
I’m not sure what else to suggest right now.
is it set to redirect to a custom block page or is it just the default setting there?

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Stop WorkingUnfortunately it still doesn’t appear to be working but that was worth a go.
Is anything showing up in your positive detection logs on proxycheck.io? if the VPN was being detected it would show Netherlands.
If not, Is it possible to disable the caching part of this wp-optimize plugin or WP-Optimize entirely, to rule this out. I understand this is burdensome when it is a live website.

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Stop WorkingI would assume clearing cache is needed but also re-saving the settings of Proxy & VPN Blocker to generate a new unique settings key here just incase something is cached there (like the VPN IP I use to test). VPN blocking is also turned on?

In reply to: [Proxy & VPN Blocker] Stop WorkingYes, did you add those?
