In reply to: Updated css stuck on an old ver parameterHi James,
I did clear the GoDaddy server cache by sending mywebsite.com/?nocache=1.
I had GoDaddy roll back my site to a date before the recent WP 2011 update, and that seems to have “fixed” the problem, but I realize this is only a temporary bandaid.
I was once told that I couldn’t to a child .css, but I’ll look into the links you sent me above.
Many thanks!
Never mind. I fixed it myself.
As I wrote to you on JULY 3, I did update to the latest version of Subscribe2 (v10.41).
That was over a month ago.
Please take the time to read your email.
If I send an email to MYSELF, it shows up in the Email Log just as your own test shows. But all the emails that get sent out to my SUBSCRIBERS when I publish a post through SUBSCRIBE2 DO NOT show up in the log. I have no way of knowing if my subscribers received a notification of a new post.
Please respond.
The screenshot you provided has absolutely NOTHING to do with my issue. The issue is NOT resolved. I have been explaining the issue to you for MONTHS and either you are ignoring my question or you do not understand it.
The screenshot you sent is what my subscribers receive when I publish a post. That part works fine. That is NOT the problem.
The problem is that when Subscribe2 sends out those notifications, each instance of the sending used to appear in my Email Log so that I myself would know that it was sent to my subscribers. I need to know that in order to verify that each of my subscribers has actually been sent those notifications.
That has stopped.
Here is the thread I started with you 6 months ago.
I have the most recent versions of Subscribe2 and WordPress. When I do a post I know that notifications were sent to my subscribers (I contacted some) but there is no record of those emails having gone out in either the Email Log plugin or the WP Mail SMTP Email Log. There IS a record of the usual two emails to the admin account which WP Mail SMTP identifies as having come from Subscribe2 as the source.
Since Subscribe2 is not communicating with either of the two independent plugins, I suspect the problem lies with Subscribe2.
Can you help, please?
Your people have admitted months ago that they do see the problem and they would be working on it. Can you fix the problem? Please respond.
Hello again, Mr. Rubyat, @rubyat13 You just now wrote to me: "We recommend updating to Subscribe2 version 10.41 and testing it in your environment. We believe that this update will resolve the issue you have been facing. Please give it a try, and if you encounter any further issues or have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re here to assist you." But as I already told you in my email of July 3: I HAVE ALREADY UPDATED YOUR PLUG IN TO VERSION 10.41 THE DAY YOU RELEASED IT AND IT DID NOT RESOLVE MY ISSUE. I AM _NOT_ HAVING A PROBLEM WITH SUBSCRIBE2 SENDING OUT EMAILS TO MY SUBSCRIBERS BUT SUBSCRIBE2 IS NOT SENDING THAT INFORMATION TO EITHER OF TWO EMAIL LOG PLUGINS: EMAIL LOG BY SUDAR MUTHU AND WP MAIL SMTP BY WPFORMS. In other words: Subscribe2 DOES send notifications to my subscribers (that is not a problem), but it DOES NOT send that information to either of two Email Log plugins - Email Log by Sudar Muthu and WP Mail SMTP by WPForms. So you see, the problem is that Subscribe2 DOES NOT send that information to either of two Email Log plugins that I have installed. Here is my email to you from July 3: I was hoping that your recent release of Subscribe2 (10.41) would repair the long standing issue I have had but unfortunately, it did not. We have been communicating about this issue since last February (about five months!) so of course, I am disappointed. Here is a summary from our email of March 4 - over 4 months ago: "My Issue: When I publish a new post, my subscribers ARE receiving notifications just as they always have. But the issue is that Subscribe2 is not sending that information to either of two Email Log plugins - Email Log by Sudar Muthu and WP Mail SMTP by WPForms. Your Guidance: We have tested and received the same problem from our end. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide any solution right now. We have added this issue to our development log. We'll fix it in our next release. Till then please be patient." That was a summary from our email of March 4 - over 4 months ago. ***** Mr. Rubyat, if I don't know if my subscribers are actually receiving my notifications, I don't know if I am losing business because they have never received my emails! ***** I have tested it and the issue is NOT FIXED in your latest release. Is there anything I can do to help you fix the issue? I would be happy to help. Please confirm that you have received and understood this and please give me any information about your plans to fix this issue. Thank you, Rich Sanders
Thank you so much! Will do….

I’ve been having a problem with the Subscribe2 plugin and I don’t know how to get help!
I posted this in the Support area:
Notifications are being sent out, but do not show up in Email Log.

Hello @rubyat13 !
Are you the right person to write to about this issue that’s been a problem for a while?
I updated Subscribe2 to Version 10.40?and the same problem persists:

There IS a record of the usual two emails to the admin account which WP Mail SMTP identifies as having come from Subscribe2 as the source.

Hope to hear from you!

I am hoping that this Support area is being monitored! Please respond.
It is sending post notifications to my subscribers BUT those emails are not showing up in Email Log. Single test posts to myself do appear.
Any thoughts?
So thanks to the fixes noted above, Subscribe2 seems to be sending post notifications to my subscribers. BUT those emails are not showing up in Email Log. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be going on?
Many thanks!
@arkadaemos – Worked for me as well.
@peter-murbai – Thank you for providing the path!
@rubyat13 – I’m not alone regarding this problem. You indicated you’d check and merge the fix in a future release. For those who are still wondering what’s going on since it’s a sudden onset issue seemingly the result of code updates and are reticent to alter code themselves, please make the future release happen soon! TIA
I’m having the same problem as Arkadaemos (@arkadaemos) was having: After UNCHECKING the “Check here to disable sending of an email notification for this post/page” box, it RECHECKS itself upon Save Draft, Save as Pending, and Publish resulting in the inability to notify my subscribers of a new post – and as a result, I’m losing money!
Is it possible to issue an update right away, please?
I’m not averse to altering the code (File: class-s2-admin.php) but I don’t know where to find it.
Many thanks,
Rich Sanders
I think it goes beyond Subscribe2 to WordPress itself since WordPress emails like “Please moderate…” having nothing to do with Subscribe2 were all affected. Looking at the headers that are coming in now since I opted out of the “ban”, I see that WordPress uses a php mailer (X-Mailer: PHPMailer 5.2.22 (https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer)). Perhaps my ISP’s email server is flagging that?
