In reply to: [Slideshow] Canvas theme compatabilityThanks very much – yes, the upgrade sorted out the problem.
(However, on my computer the slideshows are no longer showing up in IE – but are fine in Chrome.)
Brilliant – thank you. I am now in the blog and have exported all content straightaway. ??
Thanks for the suggestion – I’m not sure how to do that – I’d be grateful for advice.

In reply to: Redirection – pages still redirecting after I deleted the pluginThanks – website is https://www.slaterwebsites.co.uk – the blog posts are on the How To.. page.
I will try to find out what the redirect/access logs tell me.
I have tried changing themes and there is still a problem so it is not the theme that is causing issues.
I didn’t use the .htaccess option by the way so I’m a bit unsure how to find out where the redirection is happening.

In reply to: Redirection – pages still redirecting after I deleted the pluginOh no – I spoke too soon. Now, I notice that when I have a list of abbreviated posts on a page, when I click on the Read More button for any of the posts, instead of showing me the complete post, it redirects to the About page. This happens even for a new post I added today. This happens in IE, Chrome and Firefox.

In reply to: Redirection – pages still redirecting after I deleted the pluginThanks for your suggestions. I have investigated further and the problem only occurs using IE on my own laptop – any other browser on my laptop and any other laptop using any browser can access my site withtout any issues. I have restarted IE and refreshed but it still redirects. I can probably live with it – just shows how important it is to test properly on a variety of browsers.
?? Thanks

In reply to: Is it possible to have two "blogs" on your wp site?OK – so following my suggestion, create a new category of ‘News’ and select it for each of your existing posts. Now create a new post using content from your blog page and give it a new category ‘Blog’.
Now create a Menu (under Appearance). Add the category News and the category Blog to the menu (and any other pages you want to add). Save the menu. Now in the dropdown under Primary Menu to the left, select your new menu and save.
You should now have two ‘pages’ – one called News and one called Blog, each of which has blog-style postings.

In reply to: Is it possible to have two "blogs" on your wp site?Hi – you can do that by using different blog categories for each of the blog pages you want and then setting up a menu to include these categories as items in your menu…
After creating blog posts with the different categories, go to Appearance >> Menus. You need to create (and name) a new menu, add the pages and blog categories to the menu using check boxes down the left. Once you have saved your menu, in the top left, where it says Theme Locations, select your new menu from the drop-down under Primary Menu.
Hope this helps.
