Rollback Update Failure is a plugin in my list. Is it a plugin with no files? I’m confused.

Also, do you upload the Faster Update files to their own folder in the Plugins folder?

It doesn’t say where you upload those Rollback files. I presume to the plugins folder? They dont have to go into the Rollback folder, right? I also presume Faster Update is not a regular WP plugin listed in the repository? I didn’t find it when I searched.

No. Do I need to? If so, I had no idea that was necessary.

I’m sorry. I thought I had set the document permissions for anyone who had the link to be able access the screenshot image.

At any rate, I discovered that the settings for the slideshow displaying above the form in my sidebar were causing the blank space. I changed the slideshow format and now everything displays fine.

@threadi: Thanks. I accidentally clicked the Toggle Toolbar at some point, and it disappeared the 2nd row of icons. I had no idea I’d even done it. Now I’ve restored them. Thanks!

Not sure why it displays in your toolbar, but not in mine. Here’s a screenshot of mine:

Does anyone know whether John fixed the issue that broke sites in the new update. Or is this a rollback to the version before the update which broke our sites?

Another thing to remember after deleting the updated version with the error, is that when you install the Github version you should clear your browser cache before activating the plugin. When I tried to activate before clearing the cache I got an error msg saying “file not found.” CLearing the cache got everything working again.

I hope it’s no indication of yr overall support that I’ve sent texts via your online support web page and via the email address on yr site and here. Yet received no reply to any of those messages.

In addition to the above, I thought to try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin might fix the problem. But all it did was install the free version, which offers no way for me to input my license to upgrade to the pro version I’m paying for.

@mediavine Twitcount only exists on paper as far as I can tell. The service doesn’t work. There is a Twitcount website and a service for which you can sign up. But the product doesn’t work. So I would suggest not offering that as an option for users.

@arreane: I was suggesting having 2 separate slideshows on the same page, but not loading at the same time. One slideshow would load and cycle through all its images and then the second would load and cycle through all its images. That would mean half the load over 2 slideshows instead of the full load over 1 slideshow.
