But where can I find the ” Map links in /wp-admin/. get_permalink() et al will use the domain mapped URL.” option? I have looked everywhere but could not find it. I am using the latest (0.5.5.1) version of MU Domain Mapping.

My Domain Options only have the following 5 items
-Remote Login
-Permanent redirect (better for your blogger’s pagerank)
-User domain mapping page
-Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain (remote login disabled if this redirect is disabled)
-Disable primary domain check. Sites will not redirect to one domain name. May cause duplicate content issues.

Just upgraded to 1.7.2. Same thing.

Polylang settings
– The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks
– Remove /language/ in pretty permalinks
– The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id
– When the front page is visited, set the language according to the browser preference
– Activate languages and translations for media

I have created 2 static pages, one for each languages. Setting – Reading Front Page is set to a static page of one language.

When I visit the mapped domain, it will ping pong with the network site, and ended up with an infinite loop.

If this option is checked, then a visit to newsite.com will be redirected to network.com/newsite.

Unlike RavanH who is using different domains, I am using subdirectories for the different languages.

Anjan,

Mandarin is a spoken dialect. For sites, you should ask your client whether they want simplified or traditional Chinese characters. If they want simplified Chinese, then you should use zh_CN. For traditional, can use either zh_TW or zh_HK.

I think it supports 3 dialects – China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. zh_CN, zh_TW and zh_HK.

I cannot even get polylang to work with mudomain mapping. When I set the front page to a static page, it will result in an infinite redirect loop. Could you kindly tell me how you setup polylang with multisite and mu domain? Thank you so much.

I have tried the above but does not work. When I access the site, it will say “The site is not redirecting properly”. Btw, I am using multisite with domain mapping. Any idea?

I am running into the same issue as well. Changing the language using the language switcher does not seem to have any effect on the language of the plugins. They are still using the default in the wp config file.

Oh, the mo and po files for zh_TW are incorrectly named. An “_” is used instead of “-“.
