Thank you for the update, sorry I’ve taken so long to respond, I was on leave on Friday.

I’ve tried to install the updated plugin, but receive the following error from WordPress:

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

Plugin installation failed.

Is there a step I’m missing here?

I have an update to share.

I’ve not yet fixed the issue, however, I have managed to get a bit more clarity on the issue.

The issue seems to be the the site has functionality which programmatically creates orders, and it’s these orders which encounter the “VALUE_EMPTY” issue when attempting to pay, if we use the standard process, then the order goes through without issue.

I think this means we can rule out the issue being with the Payment Gateway plugin, and more to do with how WooCommerce handles orders which have been generated programmatically versus those which have been created by going through the standard flow.

Does WooCommerce transmit address data when attempting to complete orders which are in the “Pending Payment” status?

I should point out that I also encounter this issue with orders created in the WordPress backoffice.

Thank you for the reply, we started out by using the official extension, but an error we couldn’t resolve caused us to try a different extension.

When using the official extension, we would be presented with the error that the Card number, CVV & Expiry were all invalid (regardless of the plugin being in sandbox mode or not), so it didn’t even get as far as presenting an error from the gateway.

It was also brought to our attention that the official extension is using a outdated version of the Square API – are there any plans to bring this up-to-date?
