Yes – I too faced havoc on my multisite that too without DB backup.

On multisite – for each subsite, it is required to edit user_role field (with updated value) in respective subsite option table. BUT it doesn’t do it and I did it all manually. Once edited manually in database – it worked.

While we deactivate the plugin, it must remove all the settings.

This particular issue also created lots of hassles in our network sites.

While activating few issues, we too get thrown out of wp-admin and also gave internet server error 500. For for literally, each usage – we need to take backup of .htaccess. Ideally if it finds error, must resolve automatically by resetting to backed up .htaccess file.

Now It is good that each subsite can get its DB backup.

However, In our network with 50 subsites, it is indeed cumbersome to setup and track each backup. So someone in your team who deals with DB backup related scripts – may advise as to how does entire network backup is handled by the plugin.

Ok. Now I reactivated Minify. And If I enable HTML & XML too – it stops giving me the log.

Without HTML % XML – I get the followings:

Ideally – if this can be done in batches – say we select images on media library (by loading say 200 per page) – selecting those 200 and optimizing. it will still be a bulky job to do manually, but will ensure the work done.

OR – instead of showing the log – it runs as progress bar with pause / restart option. Once a image is optimized, it can be preserved in some manner -so that it can be restarted again.

With limited resource on server – we run the risk of CPU / Memory overload – or this is taken care of.

I wonder, if you will consider above features in next upgrade.

I tested he plugin – with bulk resizer option.

it seems to be renaming the image files by appending f1 in file name. This will make our job very difficult to manually change the url inside the posts.

Can the process be paused with batch size of 100 images, and it keeps on running without showing the log.

We are also facing the same problem – perhaps it disappeared when we upgraded to 2.9.2 – but now we have upgraded now to WP 3 (replaced all files) – but still not showing. Then I replaced even the template – but the problem still persists.

I have approx 20000 posts in my blog and approx 40 categories.

I tried using plugins to show categories also – but same problem.

What can be likely issue?

I am also facing same problem. It was showing until sometime back – but now category not visible in sidebar.

I have upgraded to WP 3.0 – but problem still persists. Is it to do with any database or plugin issue?

How about images in the upload folder!! How will the one site refers to another for the graphics in the post.

I also want to create multiple sites – but with same contents.

I want to have master store with products. Now each affiliate will have separate websites with same product (but different prices). This different price – can be then managed through custom field. Each affiliate may also have different theme.

I want to maintain common contents / categories for all the sites.

How can I use multisite feature of wordpress to achieve it OR any other alternative mode?
