If I sticky it, won’t it stay there forever until I unsticky it, or will it remain just a sticky until the next announcement is posted – which would be ideal

Having made the same mistake last week I went looking for something to help me rectify my screw-ups. I found audit trail which backs up your posts automatically including any changes you’ve made to posts. Excellent plugin.

That did it! I forgot the ‘use visual option needed to be checked, and I certainly didn’t think I needed to clear the cache.

Your right, the one on the school website wasn’t checked. However, when I did check it i got even less options, the visual editor didn’t show up, I lost all those basic editor tools – b i etc

Update – Thought I’d publish my findings just in case others had the same problem. It was a plugin that wasn’t compatible with the newest version of my WP installation.

The “inline-collapsible- more-link” – incidentally does have an update if I’d bothered to look, was causing the errors – which in turn explains why sometimes my blog updated and sometimes it didn’t as I don’t use the “inline more” option on all of my entries. The page I was editing when catastrophe struck had several ‘inline-more’ tags inserted.

Hope this helps someone.

Apparently my hosting company are having some DB issues. Hopefully that’s the problem and it’ll go away soon.
