    Although this website gave me a link saying I could edit my review at any time, and I tried to do so (see below), after I post, it keeps saying I don’t have permission to edit the review. So…so much for that review link, eh?

    Here is what I’ve tried to modify this to, and I’ve tried to upgrade to 4 stars:

    I originally wrote a bad review. One-star. Because I had several problems, and could not get a response out of support initially. As it turned out, I should have taken into account that my problems started right before the weekend.

    When support did start to respond, they continued to respond to failed attempts at fixing the problems on a timely basis.

    Eventually, almost all the problems were fixed. The biggest problem was getting one of the forms to allow customers to upload images with their reviews. Apparently, there are about 3 or 4 places (it might be only 3, but I think it was 4) where I had to check a box to allow uploads. They might each have been for different areas. I think some are a requirement of WooCommerce, and some for this plug-in.

    In any event, there is one remaining problem that did not get resolved, which support has given me a workaround for. I haven’t been able to test the workaround yet, because my customer got tired of all the failed attempts to upload.

    I’m upgrading to 4-stars based on the support. As I said, once they started, they were on top of things, and kept in contact. It’s only 4 stars, though, because I feel like it should be easier to work “out of the box,” and because some of the documentation seems dated. In one doc, a link failed to work.

    Confirmed.

    The notes for this release specifically state that it fixed the incorrect call to deactivate_feedback().

    I did a backup of my site, then updated. And it worked.

    That was exactly what I was thinking, midihead.

    Line 53 is the culprit on mine, too. I unfortunately didn’t save the entire message, and I’m not going to crash my website again just to get it. But I do remember that it had this same part that MrsJessicaSimposon posted:

    My problem is that it’s been some years since I built WP sites from scratch. I’m a lawyer these days. But my developer has disappeared, so I’m back to trying to maintain my site myself. And I’m not sure why the Code Widget is on my site, yet.

    Guess I better figure it out.

    I also reverted. I tried to contact the author of the plug-in. No response. I tried to reach him via Twitter, also, without response.

    I’m guessing this plug-in is destined to be removed from my site.

    That might explain things, but create a new problem for me.

    My hosting company says that my website has been slow — I complained about this — BECAUSE I’m being subjected to “xmlrpc attacks.”

    So I bet they probably blocked access to it.

    If they did that, I don’t know how I’m going to be able to use Publicize.

    These guys finally came through.

    The problem was the “web designers” who were on the project before me. They set things up in a very non-standard way and, where I thought the installation was in the public_html directory, it was actually in a nearly-identical directory located under a different name.

    Problem solved.

    I am online with tech support, who verifies that it is running Apache.

    Unfortunately, they don’t seem to know anything about the .htaccess files and are suggesting that it’s a problem they don’t support.

    Oh, she beat me to the punch.

    I think that’s what 4k meant: “It’s not fluid (i.e., it’s fixed)” but it was confusing because in the same question she (I think she’s a she) asked, “IS there a fix?”

    So she’s apparently thinking since it’s not fluid, it can’t be repaired.
