The other way might be to set a cookie if they click the link in the popup that takes them to the covid-19 page. Is this possible?
Thanks Maria,
I have done that and it works if they close the popup, but what I was actually asking about was setting a cookie if someone visits a particular page, so that anyone who has visited that page doesn’t get the popup until the cookie expires.
We have created a page for our COVID-19 policy, so if someone visits that page directly from a social post or something similar, then we don’t want the popup appearing if they then go to other pages on the site. If they first come to the site via another page and haven’t previously closed the popup, then it should appear.
Hope that makes sense.
Thank you.

In reply to: [Custom Fonts - Host Your Fonts Locally] Everything defaults to timesHi Nikhil,
Yes, it is working now. Not sure what was happening earlier, whether it was caching, but everything was being overridden in css as times new roman.
Thank you,
Hi Cory,
Thanks for the reply. I’ve worked it out, the hosting was set to php 7.0 by default, and one of the plugins on the site didn’t like that. Have set it to 5.6 and it all works fine. No performance issues with 5.6, as its a small lightweight site.

In reply to: external links not working from main nav menuFound a partial solution although don’t think it is the best way of doing it.
Can keep the square brackets if I use the special characters [] in the url when saving within the wordpress menu.
The problem being, that they are removed when I click save, if I make a further change to a menu item.
I am using shortcodes on the site, so don’t want to switch them off entirely, but it would be good to be able to stop the square brackets being stripped just in the menu.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

In reply to: external links not working from main nav menuThanks for that.
It seems to be stripping out square brackets []
In the sidebar it is in html in a text widget (href=””) and works fine, but when I add it as an item in the main nav menu using the wordpress menu options it seems to strip these square brackets out when I click on save.
Any way to get around this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
