Whereever this string came from, it is here to stay. Again, what puzzels me, is that the footer is correct in DE (base language), when TranslatePress is deactivated and then the BASE LANGUAGE breaks, when TranslatePress is activated.

As an update inbetween: I now installed the Pro Versions and DeepL engine. The error is now becoming more creative:

This time the source page is English. Seems to happen in German version, only. The string “Jpm” was NOT in the DB prior to the automatic translation (perhaps the error is caused by the Google API?).

thanks for getting back. I have meanwhile purchases TranslatePress Developer, but not yet installed it.

If I search in the DB, I find two results:
Example In Upbba_trp_dictionary_de_de_en_us

I went ahead and deleted the two entries, then deactivated and reactivated the Plugin. Still, same problem.

When I search now in the DB for “Jpm” no results are returned!

Also, exactly the same problem on this website: https://bmiexpert.media.
When I run the DB search there, I also have to hits:
1 Treffer in Upbba_trp_original_strings
1 Treffer in Upbba_trp_dictionary_de_de_en_us

In both cases, the them is Twenty Twenty Version: 1.8

I begin to wonder, if “Jpm” is the date formatting info, where normally the date should be returned?

I had the same problem. The solution seemed to be a “fix” that solves 90% of all wordpress problems I encounter: make sure the wp-config.php is encoded and formatted correctly (my hosting environment is Centos5):

1. Encoding: UTF-8, Lineendigs: Windows (CR+LF)
2. Formatting: no unnecessary empty lines in the file (this fixed the posting problem for me)

A good Windows tool for these changes is the free Notepad2.

I did a chmod 777 on the wp-content directory (through filezilla, non-recursive) while upgrading. That worked. Afterwards I set it back to 755
