What is the timing regarding BuddyMeet support for the 8×8 Jitsi-as-a-Service model?

Can someone please explain how to use a Google account to create a room on BuddyMeet? I understand Jitsi no longer supports the anonymous creation of rooms on meet.jit.si but Cytec should at least provide BuddyMeet users with instruction on how to use the BuddyMeet plugin and how to create an moderator account. Is that too much to ask?

I activated BuddyMeet in another group. I’m using 8×8.vc as the domain. I do get the “Wait for Moderator” message. Since I’m the moderator I click on the blue Log-in button. Then I get the message “The video call has been ended”. So my question is: why does it not allow me to login? Where (and with whom) do I set up an account? Please advise.

I’m the administrator for our website and using the 8×8 community instance for BuddyMeet in our Groups which I created a few months ago. Last week I could not initiate a group meeting because of a message “moderator has not joined the meeting”. I am the moderator and I do have Google, Github account. My question is how this authentication works and if there is anything I, as a user and initiator of the meeting, have to do when we start a new meeting. I was not prompted to authenticate myself which is why I’m wondering how this authentication process works. So far, I have not received a clear answer on this question!

Thanks for getting back to me on this! Can you provide instructions on how this authentication works?  What is the process to become a moderator for a meeting? Do you have to do this every time you set up a meeting or only one time when you activate BuddyMeet for a particular group? Right now I’m using 8×8. How do I “join” the 8×8 community-running instance? I do have a Github account. Please advise.

The domain I’m using is https://8×8.vc/ which is still shown as an official server for the community run instances. Am I missing something??
