I don’t have time for plugins that cause problems that are not being sorted out.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Updraft issues past 4 monthsOne last question. I have an automatic plugin updater installed on my WP sites. This seems to update all plugins except for UpdraftPlus. Is there a reason for this, or is there something I can activate in UpdraftPlus so it updates its plugin when an update is ready?

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Updraft issues past 4 monthsOkay. Thanks David. I’ll take a look at the link. It was only because I was having a few repeated issues over the past few months, that I mentioned the experience. I have used UpdraftPlus for a few years and it has always been excellent.

In reply to: Add html code in WordPress 5Perhaps a coincidence. I also explored, at about the same time, the settings in TinyMCE that took me to several WP editor options, allowing me to select a classic arrangement and get my previous usability. Anyway, I think everything is okay now. The only thing I would change, is disabling autosave. I know I can do this with code, but I’d rather have an option to switch it on, if I want it, rather than having to add the code to delay or stop it. There are occasions when I want to undo the last operation, before saving. Once it’s autosaved, I can’t undo in the usual way.

In reply to: Add html code in WordPress 5I’m pleased to say, that with WP v5.0.1 much of the lost functionality has now returned, or can be activated.

In reply to: Add html code in WordPress 5I think WP developers have tried to simplify things for people who just want a template only system and aren’t interested in working in the coding views. A page that took me 3 minutes to edit, now takes 10 minutes. I have to find the place where, for example, I want to embed video, put a line of letters, dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd then change to code view, search for my line of letters and then place my embed code over the top to replace it!

In reply to: Add html code in WordPress 5Thanks Joy. I’ve actually been using TintMCE Advanced. In the past it had a little little icon to switch between page and code view. It has a couple of similar icons, but they don’t do the same.

In reply to: Add html code in WordPress 5Yes Rajan, that is true, but previously, I was able to click on the editor in one go, without having to click on that bar with the 3 dots to open a list. I know that I can also press keys+ctrl+Shift+Alt+M but that is quite clumsy to do. If I could click Ctrl+Alt+M that would be slightly better.
Also, I still miss seeing the cursor in the html code view, in the same place I had it in the normal design view. For the past few years, I have wanted to have this ability, and for the first time in the previous version of WP, that ability was there. Now, sadly, it seems to have gone again.

In reply to: Cannot upload to Media library using Opera browserThanks. I think the Theme owner has been in contact with me about another issue, so I may be able to ask about this, too. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar issues using the Opera browser?
