It seems Autoptimize was causing a problem. I added jquery.js to Autoptimize’s excludes list, and it seems to work now. Can you try it to see if it works for you? Thank you.

Can you make the secondary sidebar popout by clicking a menu link?

Thank you for your reply. When I click the Customize button while on a single post, I get an error at the top of the page (instructing me to see errors in console and paste them in forum here), and I do NOT get the tabs at the top left of the screen (sitewide, all posts, this post).

Yes, you can change that. Go to Appearance -> Customize -> Main Body Design -> Post Lists Design and Content -> at the very bottom uncheck “Display the featured posts also in lists of posts” and save changes.

That works well on mobile phones (it jumps down to the bottom of the screen), but it does not open the secondary sidebar when it is collapsed on tablet-sized devices. Any thoughts on how to make it open the secondary sidebar?

Yes, it happens in Firefox as well. Here were the Firefox errors

Any thoughts on what these errors mean?

A few notes:
– The error happens when I click Customize when on a Single Post page
– If I choose Customize from the Admin->Appearance menu or click Customize when on the homepage, it loads the Customize Preview of the homepage just fine and does not give the ‘There was a problem when trying to load the customizer` error
– When I am in the Customizer Preview and try to navigate to a post, it just reloads the homepage Customizer preview again and never goes to the post I clicked
– I don’t get the Single Post option in “Main Body Design” area of Customizer preview

Any thoughts?

No worries, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.

I’m all updated now, but oddly, only the Twitter icon shows up on the social share; any idea why the others do not show? No matter what I do, I can’t get a “Single Posts” option on Main Body Design in the Customizer (I started from a single post and tried to navigate to it via the preview).

Thank you for your reply. I just read the links you posted; it sounds like I can’t really update what I have and effectively need to reinstall the theme anew.

(1) In doing so, I will have to reconfigure all of my settings (layout, logo, footer, widgets,etc), correct? Is there anyway to maintain or import that info?

(2) Also, instead of entirely deleting the current (2.2.5) theme, can I rename the directory (eg, hueman-old or hueman225) to keep it for reference purposes, or will that cause problems?

(3) I’m hoping that in the future, I can just use the WP update feature to update Hueman in place (so I don’t have to reconfigure). Is this correct?
