I changed it from 10 to 100 but no change. Someone else set it up for me so I don’t know how the template works.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How do I resequence my menu items? Thanks for all your help.
I’m used to the old world of html in Frontpage or Deamweaver – you could rename files and reorder menus more easily.
I would pursue it if it was easy but it’s looking a little too involved so I’ll live with it, customers can scroll down.
Thanks again.

In reply to: How do I resequence my menu items?Hey – what about simply renumbering the category ID?
If that’s how the order is decided, I could play with that anytime I wanted! Is is hidden, legible, accessible – is it a human number ??

In reply to: How do I resequence my menu items?Wow. Thanks.
It might be a little ambitious for me at this stage. The site is up and running, people are browsing and I’d hate to screw something up.
* Could I bring Beachfront up the list by creating new categories?
* What about deleting existing categories, recreating them such that they appear below Beachfront, then restoring the posts?
Is there anyway I can tinker with a copy of the site first?

From what I can figure out, the link calls various components from the db to render the page.
Add New Post creates a page and a menu item under the Category I select. How it does it and what’s allowed is a mystery to me.

In reply to: How do I resequence my menu items?I have absolutely no idea, and no idea where to look.
I’m a complete novice so someone else set this up for me because of its ease of use.
Not understanding the technology is part of my problem when I want to tinker with it.
The current menu appears to be organized in order of creation.

In reply to: How could I change the banner on each post?I meant how do I find the post, not the box to click!
I missed my opportunity to click it so I won’t get replies, I’ll need to keep back manually.
Once I find it again I can subscribe.

In reply to: How could I change the banner on each post? The lingo is weird, WordPress has reinvented the wheel with all new terms for things we’re already familiar with. I’m finding that a little confusing.
btw: I forgot to click Notify Me on another post, how do I find it again?
