In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Using akismet:author_urlThank you! We’ve been getting hit with a lot of links to porno sites, but they’ve mainly been in the Message textarea. Now that I know only the first akismet:author_url will work, I’ll limit it to that one occurrence rather than place it everywhere.
My guess is that blocking the spam in the main Message is going to do the trick anyway — that is if they can even get past the akismet:author and akismet:author_email in the first place! ??
Thank you so much for your wonderful plugin and your kind help.

In reply to: [Photospace Responsive Gallery] Thumbnails on the right or bottomYeah, that’s what I was wondering. Don’t know if it would be worth doing these steps to do an update, but at least it’s a possibility if the update is important.
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Photospace Responsive Gallery] Thumbnails on the right or bottomThanks! I wonder if you were to change it back to the original order of the <div>s if it would let you update the plugin — then change the <div>s back to the way you want?

In reply to: [Photospace Responsive Gallery] Thumbnails on the right or bottomHi ehoever,
I didn’t find an answer to this, but it turned out that the client preferred them on the top so I didn’t pursue further. Wish I could help you.
If you do find an answer would you mind including it here as well, so I can get an email notice? I’m very happy with this plugin, but I may need to know this in the future.
Hope you do find the answer.
Best,

In reply to: [Simple Social Icons] Started to add extra paddingThanks again Nick. I’ll mark this as resolved unless you say otherwise. (Is it good to mark something as resolved if the answer didn’t have anything to do with the original Q?)

In reply to: [Simple Social Icons] Started to add extra paddingHi Nick,
Thanks! I tried that and it didn’t change anything. But the problem appears to be the monitor I’m using. My laptop crashed a few days ago and I’m on an old computer with a 1280 x 1024 resolution. I looked at it this morning on other computers, however, and it’s fine. It also corrects itself when I lower the browser magnification on this computer to 90%.
Scary to think this would be doing it. Yes, it’s the old aspect ratio, but I’m sure some people still use it. Otherwise the site’s been nicely responsive.
Thanks so much Nick. Nice to know there’s someone like you to help. ??

In reply to: [Simple Social Icons] Started to add extra paddingAlso, I checked the css file for this plugin and nothing has changed since it was first installed in May. I compared it to the backup file.

In reply to: [Spacious] Adding Disclosures to Spacious FooterHi finsavvy,
It just occurred to me — did you mean the footer area described in the video, where the copyright is? Or did you mean one of the Footer Sidebars — the 4 columns at the bottom, which are dark grey in the default theme colors? If you mean one of the Sidebars let me know and I can walk you through that.

In reply to: [Spacious] Adding Disclosures to Spacious FooterThis is a video on how the edit the text in the footer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98A3rdj3ipA
I don’t know if this will help you though. I found it really picky when I tried to put a period at the end of our copyright; might be tough with a company disclosure.
Just make sure to backup the file before you make any changes. If you FTP into your site, it is the functions.php file in the inc directory. Here is the path:
/public_html/wp-content/themes/spacious/inc/functions.php
Make sure you use the functions.php that is in the “inc” directory. (There is another functions.php file, which is why you need to make sure you get the right one.)
If you make the edits the way the video shows where you are in the Themes Editor in WordPress, you can copy and paste the original text somewhere safe, like into a text editor, so you’ll have it handy in case something goes wrong.
Hope this helps.
Hi karlbenn73,
I didn’t find an answer and moved along. Fortunately I found a plugin that worked better for my client anyway.

Best,
revlowHi,
I’m sorry I should have posted an update here. I sent this answer to MailPoet, but will include it here it case this is helpful to MrWrighty or others.
I found out the problem had nothing to do with MailPoet. It was a long process to finally figure the cause. Even though I had disabled the WP Super Cache plugin, and had actually deleted it from the server, the rewrites for this still existed in the ~/public_html/.htaccess file. So it was still pulling the cache files from ~/public_html/wp-content/cache directory, and using the old stale pages and page fragments. What a mess! Once I re-wrote the .htaccess file with the default WordPress rewrite rules it resolved the inconsistencies.
Thanks,
revlowHi rutek,
I contacted MailPoet directly with my Q on creating more than one style. They got back to me almost immediately with an easy-to-understand answer. (Yes, it is possible.)
If you look at the top of this forum, they say “Need help? Contact us directly on OUR site.” The link is https://support.mailpoet.com/contact/
Cheers!
