Hey GamerZ–sorry for the delay in response, but due to real life concerns I didn’t have time to work with this 999999 issue for a while. Looking now, I found that I actually did not have your plugin installed (in fact I didn’t have any paging plugin installed)–I tried it, and found that your plugin seems to work fine. However, the other issue still remains…so I guess I’m kind of back to the drawing board?

Hmm. I’m using the Yaletown theme, but I have used that since the beginning and did not have the page number issue until I upgraded to 2.3 (and the same problem is there with 2.31, by the way)…I’ll try switching themes and seeing what happens. I do not have any caching active, unless that is activated by default in 2.31. GamerZ: where can I find what wp-pagenavi version I’m using?

    Thanks for the continuing assistance!

Well, the auto upgrade plug-in had a new version for compatibility with 2.31 which I have installed, so I doubt very much that has anything to do with it. I have also updated and upgraded all of my plugins. Moreover, deactivating all plugins still leads to the same problem at the bottom of the page of my site. I have no idea how I could “have the fix,” or I obviously would have applied it before coming here, searching, and finally asking for assistance. Again, any suggestions for things to try, or places to look, would be much appreciated.

Last try…does anyone have a fix for this?

    Any thoughts on this?

I see. So if (for instance) I get a non-validating feed which has an extra ? where it shouldn’t be, I somehow need to track down where the plugin/content that’s putting the extra ? in, then…

On the first issue–thanks, and it’s fixed. Should have realized that was an emoticon. On the second: the problem is that my feed is category oriented, because I only wanted the feed to list items in my “Shows” category–thus, my feed actually is:

    https://www.furtherreview.net/wp-feed.php?category_name=Shows

And I can’t seem to figure out how to edit that feed–the wp-feed.php by itself doesn’t seem to have anything in it. I don’t know where to find that particular feed document…

    Any ideas?

Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this problem? As everyone else has suggested, since installing 2.04 my site has run very slowly, in all areas. Disabling all plugins (which were all installed well prior to 2.04 without problems) didn’t help. If no one knows how to fix the issue, could someone explain how to rollback a WP installation to a previous version?

    Thanks in advance,
    Greg

I have the exact same problem after upgrading to 2.04. Any ideas?

Very interesting…I will check this out, GuruManager, thanks. Anyone else?

Yeah–wish I had time for that, but as I mentioned I just don’t…which is why I was hoping someone might have run into a theme of this kind :)…if this thread doesn’t bear fruit I might try your “looking for a designer thread” idea.

Thanks, phaticon…yeah, I’m starting that asking around process right here, at the source as it were… ?? But any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks for everything, as usual. I’m not a big fan of your working with the Dark Lord, but for one of the former nine kings of men you’re extremely helpful. ??

    Thanks!

Never mind, I found the offending areas and have fixed them…not sure why the site took this opportunity to do this to the other posts, but as long as it’s fixed now! Thanks, Naz, you’re a lifesaver. Any thoughts about what the podcast errors are coming from? They don’t seem to be causing any issues at present, but I’d like to keep it in mind for future.

    Thanks again!

Looks like we’re getting there….I’ve fixed the second post. But the third post doesn’t seem to have that bogus /strong tag…? Where did you find that…?

As for the podcast errors, not sure what to do about those. They are downloading and functioning fine in about six different aggregators and every web browser I can think of to test them, not to mention three different computers and three different IPs, so I think I may have to let those go for now.
