In reply to: Facebook LIKE button not workingthe Facebook ‘Like’ button doesn’t work on most sites now for me. literally. sometimes a popup login to Facebook pops up, sometimes, if I try to login on the popup page. it goes away. but the ‘Like’ still does not work. and after that when you hit the ‘Like’ button, the popup comes and fades away with nothing else happening.
This has been going on for some weeks now, so I think it is a Facebook problem. the Share button still works, but not the ‘Like’ nor the ‘Recommend’ button.Am on a Mac OS X Tiger, using Seamonkey browser. but Safari does it too.

found a plugin that works, but not with the Social BookMark plugin. took a lot of work to get all the photos popping up.
WP SexyLightBox plugin. not as easy as author claimed, and not my desired format. but serviceable.
You can see how it works now word.reneodeay.com.I am not upgrading my other blog, cuz there’s way too many images to fix.

In reply to: After 3.3 upgrade many lightbox failsthe only lightbox I found to work is WP SexyLightBox plugin.
not my desired effects, but serviceable. BUT, it does fail when using Social Bookmarks plugin.
took a lot of work to get all photos in my posts to work. fortunately not a lot of posts on this blog.
Dread upgrading my other wordpress blog tho, there are lots, and an old theme as well.blog.talesofkingtut.com
I’m not using that widget, but have you tried the ‘Use Google Libraries’ plugin? it worked to bring back the editor buttons etc on the admin side. it might work.
actually just activated Fancybox, but it didn’t work. will check out what you referred to on the javascript.
I already tried deactivating all the plugins. clearing browser cache, etc. will try again.word.reneodeay.com
but don’t have thickbox activated just now.
nothing I do makes it go back to the way I finally jimmied it around to working halfway right after the last time I upgraded.
now facing the many days of trying to get it work again. I hate upgrades, and the constant nags to up grade from my host site as well as WordPress. when I KNOW it will be AFU again. Also got a couple installs on my Mac with MAMP having similar problems. just testing out plugins to find one that may actually work.
after 3.3 upgrade, got the same problems when using Thickbox plugin. or… tries to upload the popup, but nothing actually happens, or just the overlay shows up.
have tried numerous popup boxes plugins, all have problems.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: After Upgrade to 3.3, Visual Editor FailsIpstenu, just downloaded a fresh WP 3.3, and checked the files in that folder, en.js is not there. to be frank, it is not in my 3.3 beta version either, which I am using in a MAMP install on my Mac. have not had the editor problem with that install tho at all, so have not used any fixes there. It is my online wordpress I have had problems with. oh, and I am using the same theme there as on my online one. (Aspire)
my wordpress online: word.reneodeay.com
(but do have a lightbox fail. but that is another topic)Oh, am using Seamonkey browser on my Mac Tiger. Safari has same problems.

In reply to: Custom Fields 'Auto-generating' on page updatedid you try turning them off? there’s a Screen Options toggle in the upper right top of screen where you can turn several options on and off, like custom fields.

In reply to: After Upgrade to 3.3, Visual Editor Failsthere is one more thing that has been suggested elsewhere on this problem. an english javascript file missing in the timymice folder.
en.js goes in the wp-includes/js/tinymice/lang/ folder, you can download it from the tinymice website languages downloads. donno why but when I added that before adding the Use Google Libraries plugin, I got the commands back for the html editor. still couldn’t get the visual editor to work, tried the Hotfix plugin, no go, until I added the google libraries plugin.
