am using TwentyEleven theme child. my other blogs, do not have this problem. just the new ones. including two on my local MAMP install.
but have tried other themes, and it still does this.

Hopefully others will see this, and you won’t have to explain anymore.BTW, I’m not planning to sell my theme. just use it for my website to replace an unwieldy Joomla!

Sorry for so many questions, but this is the first time I’ve tried creating a child theme.

working on a local MAMP install, so I can’t show you how it worked out yet. but it looks close to that Sexy Lightbox effect which was my fav until author stopped upgrading the free version.
