In reply to: Nextgen Gallery and Chrome stuck at “loading”Same problem here. I can view 3 images or so, but after viewing a fourth on the same page I get stuck at LOADING. Photo will never load.
It’s not bogged down at all, but I’m trying to speed it up for perfect optimization. I already score an 80/100 on Google’s PageSpeed, but I strive for perfection.
If anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it.

In reply to: [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] GZIP without combing CSS / JS in W3TCThanks for the info.
I tried ‘Only combine’ with other options unchecked. Right now I have 10 JS files that cannot be combined. Nextgen Gallery makes up like 4 JS files and Featured Content Gallery makes up another 4. Plus 1 PostTabs JS (Some plugin). None of these combine nicely.
Plus NextGen Gallery and Featured content gallery have a few CSS files each as well which don’t combine nicely.
Both Nextgen Gallery and Featured Content Gallery are enormously popular plugins. Just being able to pull these files and gzip them would certainly make things faster. I’ll try and achieve this through htaccess though.

In reply to: WP Super Cache – Caches Category Page Instead of Home Page^^ I have the same permalink structure as you serb.
I actually disabled the super cache aspect of wp-super cache and I’m running fine. Would like the super cache, but I can live without it.

In reply to: WP Super Cache – Caches Category Page Instead of Home PageIt can’t be related to the cloud hosting, because I moved servers and the problem still occurs. Actually happens on TWO of my sites. Moved both over from cloud hosting to regular hosting and reset my htaccess rules to the default and no fix.

In reply to: WP Super Cache – Caches Category Page Instead of Home Page0.7.1? I’m going to have to downgrade to it because this problem is still happening, even after I switched hosts. I’m on a dedicated machine now and this problem sucks.
Currently I have ACTools running a macro to clear my cache every 20 mins [As I need to do that to avoid this issue].
The User and Group on my FTP for these folders also are set to ’99’ I’m not sure what that means, because all the old folders have user and group set to ‘513’
Anyone know why this is happening and how I can change it back to normal?

In reply to: /page/2/ = Page Not Foundit works fine through https://www.streethop.com/category/news/page/3/
In the permalinks area, you need to put in a word inbetween the category name and the homepage, if you don’t put a word there it just uses the wordpress default which is category. It’s been like this forever.

In reply to: WP Super Cache – Caches Category Page Instead of Home PageI tried setting the expiration to something like 20 days, but the file still gets replaced with the wrong one.
Is there a way to automatically COMPLETELY clear the cache every hour or so? This would also fix the problem. This is really hurting my rankings, as googlebot is seeing the wrong page as the homepage every now and then.

In reply to: WP Super Cache – Caches Category Page Instead of Home PageUgh this problem is still driving me insane. donncha is there a way for me to upload the CORRECT homepage onto the supercache MANUALLY, and make the supercache plugin NEVER rewrite that file? Just for the homepage. This would instantly fix the issue for me.
This is driving me mad to lol. I don’t think thats the issue though Clothahump69, because when you right click the thumbnail and click properties, all the correct Title / alt info is there. The actual zoomed in version is just javascript.
Google doesn’t like nextgen gallery. It could be the canonical tag, but I have no idea what it is, so I can’t really comment on it. Has anyone tried getting rid of it to see how Google reacts to it?
