Stay with 1.1.5? … Yes… I am happy with that. … My only fear in not upgrading to the latest version of a theme is that I might miss a “security update” and so leave my self open to who-knows-what on the web. … but… v 1.1.5 is where I am at.
Thank you for your persistence in this… you’ve done a great job of customer service.
Of course it is not the 1.2.3 version… THAT version screwed-up my site. I have restored my site back to 1.1.5. I zipped-up the current, in-use, header.php. What you see in there is the 1.1.5 header.php… I cannot run the 1.2.3 update without screweing-up the look of my pages… maybe compare what I call my 1.1.5 v against you archived 1.1.5 to, maybe, see a difference?
Of course… THAT is my CURRENT PHP file… with my page working correctly.

I saved it as a .txt file and zipped it:

NOPE… I tried, this morning, after confirming an early morning file-back-up of my pages.
I updated the Gridzone Theme to 1.2.3… saw that my header was messed-up. I went into my Child Theme and copied the updated header.php file into the child… Page header looked different, still looked crammed to the left… still screwed.
I went into GoDaddy to see about a Restore. Here is what the Godaddy panel looked like before I did the Restore:

… and then I did a Restore FILES (not the Database)… and afterwards, the header was still unchanged, screwed. In a panic, I did a RESTORE of both Files and Database… and now my page is back to normal:

So… No more updates of the Gridzone Theme… I am through experimenting. If I experience future issues, I may have to shop for a new theme.— Reggie D … https://LearnMMD.com
… it fixed itself??
Yes, I tried it… update Gridzone to 1.2.3 … just this morning, 5-26. I tried it now because I had a fresh backup, less than an hour old, available if needed… and it was, indeed, needed. I took a few screen captures to show you that my original issue was still present, today. … I had to revert to my backup to recover “the look” of my pages.
I will be staying with 1.1.5 … When I updated the Gridzone theme to 1.2.3, it messed with my Child theme, too. … so I am staying at 1.1.5

Just remembered that I won’t be home… so maybe will try on 5/21/20 at 9 AM.
My site gets a full backup created at about 8 Am, Pacific Time, every day. … I will try to update at about 9 AM on 5/20/20. … I hope it “works”!

Honestly I believe I am happy with my 1.1.5 … leaving well-enough alone. What am I missing if I stay with good ol’ 1.1.5?
Is 1.2.0 going to “work”? or will I have to screw around with it. My pages get almost 2700 visits a day, I have six active authors, at the moment, and lots of comments coming in… new posts every couple of days… I cannot afford the loss if I do a recovery backup to yesterday… I DID that yesterday and got a lot of grief! Right Now, with 1.1.5, everyone is happy. My plan is to keep it , as is, and not update.
Sorry to leave you hanging… HERE is an image of the screw-up. … compare to the actual current Home Page.

I have been fiddling with this, off and on, since yesterday afternoon. That latest update 1.1.9 will not cooperate. The header on my page gets screwed-up and that passes along to the Child Theme in weird aberrations. I am just going to pass on this update… … The old 1.1.5 works fine for me.
