When the above-mentiond plugin is activated, Loco is continuously reporting:

Debug: Translations don’t match template. Run sync to update from bridge.pot

Debug log shows

29-Apr-2020 15:41:49 UTC] [Loco.debug] “Translations don’t match template. Run sync to update from bridge.pot” in src/error/AdminNotices.php:109

Deleting and re-creating the PO files doesn’t change anything.

Got it. The cause is the plugin “Loco Automatic Translate Addon” on a bare WordPress setup. Will report it on the plugin Support page.

It is a plugin I have just installed (was not activated upon issue) in order to create WP staging environments without modifying the live website.

Alright, created a staging site via WP-Staging, fall back to Nineteen Theme with only Loco and WP-Staging plugins, same issue.

Correct, it shows unknown error / blank response from server.

Update: WP debug log doesn’t show any issue, Debug section of the plugin reports all OK besides loco directory not writable, but I guess that’s not the issue as the PO file is located in another directory

Already done that and extended the transient expiration time to 30 days, which, as you may understand, is quite an impediment for regular sitemap updates.

I do not have other conclusion other than Yoast is not scalable for large wordpress websites.

I understand the way Yoast work. The problem here is that the large number of posts make Yoast’s sitemap feature unusable.
Therefore, any advice on that matter to use Yoast in this context of large number of posts is welcome.

Thanks. Is there a way to regenerate them before their expiration time ? Otherwise I often have an unavailable file because Yoast is taking time to reconstruct it.

I try to programmatically generate sitemap_index.xml file and its subsitemaps in one go.

As well, how can I set the transient expiration time and what is its default value ?
