Interesting. When I contacted my host, they admitted it was a security issue, and made the change for my two WordPress sites. They said they can individually modify settings as needed.

Was the site working without any issues, and then suddenly the 406 issue appeared? If yes, I recommend contacting your web host to see if they have made any updates to your server.

Thanks for writing this plugin! I was puzzling over the page ID in wp-list-pages, and couldn’t understand where the page ID was hiding. I didn’t realize it was gone, just figured I couldn’t find it.

Found the solution, thanks to a fellow WordPress user on another forum. Using the custom field plugin, I can create a custom field for each page named ‘leftpic” and assign the value as the image file name.

In the page.php file, before the <h1> code is generated, I can add the call to the <img> code that uses the plugin to add the specific image for each page. The custom field plugin can be found at:
