In reply to: Visual Tab disappearedIf you don’t want to reboot, I suggest you use the other computer that allows you to see the Visual Tab.
Without rebooting the computer, you won’t have a clean slate for diagnosing what’s going on. There could be memory leaks in your system, or some other issues that you’re not aware of.

In reply to: Visual Tab disappearedGiven you can get it to work on one computer, but not others, I suspect it’s your computer configuration and not a WordPress issue.
Some things for you to review and consider:
- Are both computers running the same operating system?
- Are both computers running the same version of the operating system?
- Reboot the machine that’s not displaying the Visual Tab, and check if Visual Tab displays

In reply to: Visual Tab disappearedWhen you first encountered the issue, did you test it in different browsers?
Which browser are you using?

In reply to: Visual Tab disappearedThanks for the quick response and information.
One more question: when you said you switched themes, did you switch to the default Twenty Fifteen theme, to rule out any theme-related issues?
UMC Web Press may be better able to troubleshoot your setup, since they control the WordPress setup configuration. Refresh my mind, what’s included in level 2 from UMC Web Press?

In reply to: Visual Tab disappearedA few questions for you:
- Did this start happening after the 3.9 release?
- Are you using the free website available through UMC Web Press?
- If yes, what did UMC Web Press say when you asked about the Visual Tab?
- Can you share the URL for the site?
This post about the Visual Tab may be useful for background, but it would be up to UMC Web Press to track down whether the same issues/plugins apply to their setup.

In reply to: upgrading from 3.8.1 to latest versionWPyogi is correct, I should have remembered to say commercial products aren’t supported here.
Hopefully the theme developer will get back with you quickly.

In reply to: upgrading from 3.8.1 to latest versionI did some research on Avada, but couldn’t find any info about Avada theme support for WordPress 4.1. It’s possible I missed it, but if you can’t find it, contact the theme developer directly and ask about 4.1 support.
As @josh Robb said, be sure you have a full backup of the website, files and database, before you do any upgrades.
It’s always best to test the upgrade on a local version of the site first, before upgrading the online site.
If you haven’t already done it, check your plugins to ensure they’ll work with 4.1 (compatibility info is displayed next to “Edit” under the plugin name).

Hi Nate,
Thank you for another option, appreciate the info.
Thank you for the quick reply, Nate. I’d rather not use display: none, will investigate the templating system.
I should have included that I’m not using the plugin Menu Sections to create sections for my menus.
I’m adding the individual menu items to my menu sections, since I’m using the plugin for catering menus, which display menu items across several sections in the same menu.
Hi Nate,
Good to know it’s on your mind. I can see it being a game changer for restaurants looking for an alternative to catering menu PDFs and flip books (who wants to deal with those on your smartphone?)
I couldn’t find anything that fits that requirement. Could be a market for you to tap.
Thank you for the quick reply. Not sure there are others who have this use case, so wasn’t sure if it would be on your roadmap.
Thank you for your quick response, appreciate it Nico. Will be testing out the new version this afternoon.
Same issue as Niketh25, all videos in my blog posts have disappeared since updating to version 2.6.
Tested in Firefox 22, Chrome 28, and Internet Explorer 10 under Windows 7.
