According to my reading of the CSS in 2013 the max-width is set to 1040px?

I have similar query, but I’m happy with 1080px.

Not being so bright, why have a 1600px header image when max width set to 1080px?

So how do I replace with a simple 1080px image in child?

The reason for the “NOT responsive” was because the responsive feature was listed as a “Pro” feature along with a host of other features when I initially downloaded the theme, and as none of the other “Pro” features were available it seems logical that the “responsive” feature was also not available.

I also do not remember the theme being labelled as “Silverclean Lite” on launch day, just “Silverclean”, but that may be an error on my part.

The way I believe you are saying is to use the post screen box. That’s another action to take after having already uploaded the image.

I have another issue with the response.
The posts are now appearing on all “pages”.
I’ve saved the original page.php as page1.php in the hope of using it as a template and then remove the new code from the original page.php, but as a novice I’m unsure how to go about it.

I have managed to get the post in the page. My problem is position and format. I would prefer it positioned under the first block of introductory text and formatted as per the standard css for a post.

As a temp fix ibear’s solution will work, although like you I don’t see the point of having an extra image stored on the system without the option to disable.
