Perfect – I’ll try that and hopefully it will resolve the issue. Thank you for all of your help!

Thanks! I’d rather not change the shortcode, since I just now finally got it to work.

So you’re suggesting that rather than purging once a day, I would go to Litespeed > Cache > [4] Exclude and add /makerstuff/ to “Do Not Cache URIs” – and that would make it so that page would never be cached?

    Thanks again for your help!

Hi there! So the way the plugin works, is that it is linked to my Instagram account. I have plugin specific shortcode on different site pages to create a “feed” that is linked to Instagram, and is supposed to be dynamic/regularly updated. Basically, when I post an image to Instagram with a particular hashtag, that image should show up on the page with that shortcode.

For example, in the page https://www.tooth-n-nail.com/makerstuff/ I have a shortcode that says any image I post that has the hashtag #makerstuff will show on that page. However, because of the Litespeed cache settings, I have to go in and manually purge the site cache in order for the pages/feeds to repopulate and the image to appear.

So to resolve the above example, would you recommend I go to Litespeed > Cache > [3] Purge, and add https://www.tooth-n-nail.com/makerstuff/ to Scheduled Purge URLs?

@nomadr Well the good news is, I am now able to finally see the tax rate names I created in Woocommerce>Settings if I use Analytics>Taxes to pull a report! When I first opened the report today it showed the placeholder, but when I clicked to have it “sort” by the tax code name, they suddenly started to appear – so my guess is this was resolved at some point with a recent update, and there was a caching issue or something that resolved itself when I triggered the sort.

The bad news is, that the amount that Analytics is reporting in Analytics>Taxes does not match the amount reported (for the same time period) in Woocommerce>Reports>Taxes – and the Wocommerce>Reports>Taxes report still does not show the tax code names or zip code.

So I still don’t have any usable information, since I don’t know which report is accurate (my guess is that the old fashioned Woocommerce>Report is the accurate one, since that’s not a separate plugin). But we’re getting closer – and I wanted to share, in case your system isn’t screwed up in the same way mine is and clearing the cache enables you to see the tax code names in Analytics. I just recommend you pull the other report to compare, to make sure.

@riaanknoetze I haven’t heard anything from this thread or Github, so I’m going to open a support ticket. This is a really frustrating issue, and we really need it addressed before tax season begins in earnest.

Thanks for your reply! Can you tell me where to find the settings for the types of notifications the plugin is supposed to send out? Or is it not supposed to send any type of email notification when someone signs up (confirmation, etc.)?

Update: I just received a receipt with an “adjustment” of $23.67 – this is for an order that we already paid $31.81 for. Using the USPS calculator, even if I’d been off by a full pound of weight, the adjustment to that zip code would only be a few dollars. Using the USPS calculator, my weight would have to have been off by over 20 lbs. in order to justify an additional $20+ of postage.

I’m really concerned, because this seems to be happening for every order in the month of June – we’re going to reach the limit on our credit card soon, and I won’t be able to buy postage to ship the real orders that I’m getting for the holidays.

@riaanknoetze – I opened a ticket in Github last month as you requested, but there’s been no response as of yet (it hasn’t been assigned to anyone.) Is there another step I’m supposed to take?

Great – thank you! I’ll do that right now.

Thank you so much for letting me know! I apologize – I assumed that since the automatic tax calculations were Jetpack’s, the issue with them not showing up correctly was also Jetpack’s. I’ll move the question over to Woocommerce.

Thanks! I had a feeling it was a conflict with my theme, since I’ve been having numerous problems lately. Sure enough, the theme is the problem.

Luminus – thank you for your quick reply! I’m disappointed I can’t merge them, but was expecting that since I couldn’t find any information out there on how to do it.

As for my second question: We have an online store, and a brick and mortar store, who both use our Woocommerce store as the sales platform (we have a point of sale plugin for the brick and mortar store). I’m not concerned about customers purchasing the products online – I’m concerned about one of us who work at the physical store accidentally selecting the old/dead product and selling it, since it will show up as an option in the search function. I need it to not show to us on the backend, but the data related to the products remain so our years of sales history aren’t lost.

HammyHavoc – after looking into this further with Woocommerce/Automattic, it appears that the issue is related to my theme. My theme authors haven’t been able to fix it though, but I’m happy to update this thread if they do figure it out (and can explain it to me). In the meantime, you should try switching to the WordPress 2020 theme and see if that resolves it for you.

I’ll pass on your suggestion that it’s related to the checkout button launching a new window/tab to my theme authors. Thank you for that!

Thank you so much for your quick response! That’s odd that the code is not for Woocommerce – I’ve only ever used Woocommerce, and the code was given to me by a developer.

My theme sent out an update today, and with that update the tax text disappeared again (so the issue obviously was a conflict with the theme) – but I’ve saved the code you gave me, and will use it in the future if it happens again. Or would you recommend I replace the old code with this new code? Since the old code is (apparently) not for Woocommerce?

    Thank you so much!
    Rebecca
