In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] Emails are not workingHi Julien,
For “transactional” emails, such as from a membership site, some mail services weed them out quite aggressively.
I’d recommend using something like this: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-send-email-in-wordpress-using-the-gmail-smtp-server/ to send WordPress emails.

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] No [restrict] without clients ?Hello! First of all, I apologize for being a bit slow to respond; we were dealing with being short-staffed and now we’re doing our best to catch up.
In case you’ve not solved this by now, I’d use this:
[restrict message="Your Message Here"]Restricted content[/restrict]
This Knowledge Base article provides additional parameters: https://restrictcontentpro.com/knowledgebase/restrict/
Please let us know if you need additional assistance with this!
First of all, I’m sorry it took us a bit to get back to you on this one; we were short-staffed and we’re catching up now!
I think this Knowledge Base article will help you but if it doesn’t, please do let me know. ??

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] Membership pages with public viewingHi there! That particular option isn’t available in the free version of the plugin, but can be done by using Groups with the Pro version.
To my knowledge, this is a Pro feature in all membership plugins that I am currently aware of.

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] Pro-rate logic and implementationHi Ryan,
First of all, I’m sorry it took a bit to track this down for you!
The good news is, the difference is automatically refunded to their payment method via the payment gateway they used, so you don’t have to worry about keeping track of it, account credits, etc.
Please let me know if you’ve any other questions about this!

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] Starts to show adsThank you for commenting – the only thing that should appear in the back end of the site is a suggestion to update to 3.0, if you are on an older version – and that should remain closed once it’s clicked.
If you decide to try Restrict Content again, please do let us know if you are seeing persistent ads of any sort, as that’s not part of the plugin.

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] New update is a bare disasterThank you for commenting – that update message is supposed to stay dismissed once you’ve closed it.
Can you please try clearing your site cache to see if it resolves the issue?

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] Bulk upateHi there! This can be handled with the “Restrict Access” option on Posts > Restrict Access and Pages > Restrict Access.
You can toggle that back to “Everyone” and it will update past pages/posts.

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] Default All Posts to RestrictedThere sure is ?? You’ll see that under Posts > Restrict Access and Pages > Restrict Access.
You can select the membership level or role to restrict all to, and that can be overridden on individual pages or posts if needed.

Hi Jeff,
Restrict Content Pro includes a complete REST API, allowing you to extend the plugin and its functionality beyond WordPress and into your web application.
I’m not sure if it would work with your custom app in the way you’d like, so the best way to tell is to try a free demo: https://restrictcontentpro.com/demo-request/ and give it a whirl ??
Can you please try deleting the plugin from Plugins > Installed, and reloading it? It sounds like perhaps it didn’t fully load.

In reply to: [Membership Plugin - Restrict Content] Random New usersHello! Are those new users being added as WordPress users only, or as Restrict Content Members in Restrict > Customers?
Hi there! I can’t seem to replicate this; the nag isn’t reappearing for me in a test site.
Does it immediately return when you dismiss it, reappear on page load, or show up after a length of time?
The answers to that will help narrow down what could be causing this for you ??
Hi Rodolphe,
That error means your server is probably blocking loopback requests. You can view more details here: https://help.ithemes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019310493-Invalid-IP-returned-Error-in-Security-Check
