    Hi @catchlight,

Sorry to hear that. I will love to get access to experience it and see what’s happening, comparing with my test environment. You can do a temp account and delete it when we’re done. You might be able to send me a direct message.

I quite busy with my actual job but I will try to have a look as soon as you send me the details

    Cheers

    Hi,

I’m glad you managed to find a solution. Would it be ok for you to explain how you solved it?

    Hi @ivanomartiello,

    Sorry for the delay.

Unfortunately, anything happening inside the player is controlled and managed by Soundcloud. This sound like a bug to me from their end if you have to tap twice to make it work. I know that SoundCloud does sometimes show a “play on SoundCloud” message in mobile to get people to go to their website or app. Like I said, no plugins will have control over this.

    I hope this help

ps: @jdembowski I never saw a moderator on my plugin forum! Exciting ?? I think this a new thread as the problem is a different one. Cheers

    Thank you so much @catchlight!!

I wish everyone would take the time to post their findings! This is very useful and helpful (karma points for you).

I will look into making it work from Text Mode but I think that text mode used to disable all editor’s plugins, stopping the plugin from acting on the content of the editor window. Will see, maybe WordPress changed that since then.

    Thank again!

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay, for some reason a minority of people are sometimes getting this message when they actually have tracks/playlists/favourites on their account and those are set to public. 99% of the time, when I try it using their SoundCloud handle it works.

I have contacted Soundcloud multiple times on the subject and they don’t want to provide a solution. There are a few threads online where developers are discussing the issue but Soundcloud isn’t responding.

One day someone will let me log in to their website and check it out.

@ktdamasterpiece, I’m not sure I understand what you are describing. Are you saying that some SoundCloud accounts don’t allow embedding when it’s not done from SoundCloud’s website?

@nmopaly Thank you for supporting a free plugin. I’m glad you found a solution to your problem.

    Cheers

    Hi @dskillzmusic,

Sorry for the delay, I can see that you’ve got the player back on your home page.

Would you be able to let people know how you fixed your issue as others might benefit from your learnings?

    Cheers

    Hi @zamboknee,

    This plugin doesn’t.

To do so users have to give permission to the plugin to manage some aspect of your Soundcloud account (like uploading and editing). If you find a plugin, I would recommend being very careful who you trust with these kinds of privileges. I know there’s one or two SoundCloud plugins on WordPress that collect extra data and sent it to a third party website without telling users.

    Good luck

    Hi @sixthtulip,

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, this is controlled by Soundcloud and nothing can be done about it.

I hope you will still be using the plugin.

    cheers

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay, I’ve been extremely busy recently.

The plugin isn’t storing anything apart from your plugin settings. Every track, playlist, favourites, etc.. are served by Soundcloud’s API, so it’s happening live and nothing gets stored/cached.

The only bit the plugin stores is the user profile handle and URL to the profile image but that’s public as everyone can see it on SoundCloud.

In terms of control over this data, everything gets wiped out when you uninstall the plugin.

Finally, the plugin doesn’t collect any kind of data in terms of user behaviours, browser version, analytics, etc… and the plugin doesn’t communicate with anything else then Soundcloud’s API.

I hope this help, I will be chatting with a GDR expert this week and will post here a confirmation.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

ok, so I can see where the error is triggered, thanks a lot for pasting the content of the console. I think it’s to do with tinyMCE but I’m also surprised about the file not found as those images are inside the plugin.

Would have an installed plugin that modifies your editor? Also, would you be able to do a test for me. If you disable all plugins except Soundcloud is gold, do you still have the issue? If you don’t can you re-enable the other plugins one by one and everytime check if the insert still work. If that doesn’t work, could you delete the plugin and reinstall it through your WordPress dashboard?

I’m really sorry about this. Hopefully, we will be able to sort it out and probably solve this issue for other people along the way.

    Cheers

    Hi @kelym,

I’m sure we can find a fix to your problem.
Could you post your SoundCloud username here and tell me which browser you are using?

    Hi @nate1,

    Thank you for the example.

I’m still not sure I understand you where you need the sorting. Do you mean sorting the tracks in the back-end (when you are looking at your tracks to insert one) or in your front-end (what your visitor see on your website)?

    Hi @biggoldbelt,

no worries, happened to me a million times!

If you are still using the plugin and are satisfied with it, would you mind leaving a quick review? Only takes a minute.

    Hi @nate1,

There isn’t an option at the moment to sort players with a particular order.

Are you talking about tracks in a playlist or just multiple individual tracks embedded in a post?

Are you looking into automating embedding tracks? Or is it to give people the option to filter all your tracks?

    Cheers

    Hi @catchlight,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues. Was that fixed once you’ve made your tracks public or are you still having issues?

Could you explain how it is not working for you? Does the add media button doesn’t open the pop-up? Does the pop-up doesn’t have the soundcloud is gold tab? Does the tab doesn’t let you access your content? Or does the insert shortcode button doesn’t put the player in your post?

    Cheers

ps: The apostrophe bug was fixed in 2.4.3 not 2.5
