Thanks, have done that now.
Ok, something didn’t go quite right with the manual migration (somehow some data was missing)
Tried again with plugin:Log created: 2020-09-18 06:14:20
Type: restore

[2020-09-18 06:19:20][error]restore failed error unknownI finally managed to get the plugin to pick up the files, but when I tried to restore, it failed midway through the first part (it didn’t give a specific error). I’m going to try to do it manually by FTP and phpMyAdmin. If I fail, I may be back! Thanks for your support so far.
Hi there,
the error below is persisting even though SSL certificate is operational. I try to upload via the upload button but get:wpvivid_request: timeout(timeout): an error occurred when trying to establish communication with your server. This error may be request not reaching or server not responding. Please try again later.
I click ‘‘Scan uploaded backup or received backup’ and nothing happens, even though the files are in the correct directory.
Any help?No one has responded, but I think the solution was in the previous topic:
[restrict level="level-name"]restricted content[/restrict]
So to use ‘level’ rather than ‘role’. Suggest a guide to shortcode use be included in the FAQ?
Thanks for the plugin

In reply to: [Prisna GWT - Google Website Translator] Styling of dropdownThanks,
The website is still under construction. A screenshot is here: https://en.zimagez.com/zimage/googletranslatebox.php
You can see the white dropdown box has a blurry grey shadow effect outside the border.
If you need access to the website itself, let me know.

In reply to: Hacked site: intermittent new tab advertisingThe hosting providers got back to me and came up with what I have found:
“I have had a further look into this and unfortunately, I was not able to find where the redirects are coming from in the site this time around, do you know when the site was last working correctly before this started redirecting?
I ran a few searches for the links which seemed to have come up empty and only false positives being flagged up when searching for other typical malware.”
I have found that two scripts are running on the site: apu.php and banners.js – but both of which are not on the server, but are being run from another site (“go.onclasrv.com/apu.php?zoneid=676655” and “eclkmpsa.com/adServe/banners?tid=79479_131506_0&tagid=2”) You can see the code for these by following the inks.
I can’t believe I am the first person to encounter this problem…?

In reply to: Hacked site: intermittent new tab advertisingOk, I can try that.

In reply to: Hacked site: intermittent new tab advertisingNo, I haven’t done that one. It’s not my site, so I would rather try to avoid that approach.
I’ve followed the advice in the WordPress FAQ, and the associated links. Also read a handful of additional posts (can’t remember them all – but will get a list if you want) that have been suggested from similar threads.

In reply to: [CampTix Event Ticketing] A payment error has occuredHi Scott,
Let me know if you get resolution to the issue. I’m reluctant to remove the patch if it doesn’t work as the site is active, and would need a working alternative if it doesn’t.
Thanks,
Stu
