    I’m just glad there is a script to be honest. I was terrified I was going to have to do this the really old fashioned way.

    Thanks so much for the link. I’ll give this a try.

    I had the same problem. Disabled my “Social Discussions” plug in, and the links started working again.

    My dashboards are running so slow post-upgrade. It’s taking 2-3 minutes to get links to open.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    If I have the current install with all my blog posts and I create a new install from scratch, can I pull all the content from the existing database into the new one? I’m thinking the answer is yes, but I’d rather ask. I have no desire to be hunted down by the editors with pitchforks and flaming torches.

    You guys have been SO great! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your help.

    Checked the config file, the site meta table, the capabilities tables. What else do I check?

    Thread Starter rdweatherly

    (@rdweatherly)

    They all appear to be correct.

    I checked my config file against a sample file from the codex, and it’s identical except for my “current site” and what not.

    Yes, I have those, too. They’re all further up in the file.

    Just for fun, I removed all my plugins by renaming the file “plugins-old” and it had no effect on my privileges. Thought maybe I had a plugin issue.

    This is right above the “stop editing” line:

    define( “WP_USE_MULTIPLE_DB”, false );

    define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);

    There are a bunch of our authentication keys, too.

    Yes, I’m in 2.9.2. I’m starting to think I should update.

    I don’t see anything about a site admin in the config file. The only admin designated is the MySQL settings.

    (@rdweatherly)

    Yes, superadmin id is 1.

    I checked the wp_1_options table and this is the contents of the field:

    a:5:{s:13:”administrator”;a:2:{s:4:”name”;s:23:”Administrator|User role”;s:12:”capabilities”;a:47:{s:13:”switch_themes”;b:1;s:11:”edit_themes”;b:1;s:16:”activate_plugins”;b:1;s:12:”edit_plugins”;b:1;s:10:”edit_users”;b:1;s:10:”edit_files”;b:1;s:14:”manage_options”;b:1;s:17:”moderate_comments”;b:1;s:17:”manage_categories”;b:1;s:12:”manage_links”;b:1;s:12:”upload_files”;b:1;s:6:”import”;b:1;s:10:”edit_posts”;b:1;s:17:”edit_others_posts”;b:1;s:20:”edit_published_posts”;b:1;s:13:”publish_posts”;b:1;s:10:”edit_pages”;b:1;s:4:”read”;b:1;s:8:”level_10″;b:1;s:7:”level_9″;b:1;s:7:”level_8″;b:1;s:7:”level_7″;b:1;s:7:”level_6″;b:1;s:7:”level_5″;b:1;s:7:”level_4″;b:1;s:7:”level_3″;b:1;s:7:”level_2″;b:1;s:7:”level_1″;b:1;s:7:”level_0″;b:1;s:17:”edit_others_pages”;b:1;s:20:”edit_published_pages”;b:1;s:13:”publish_pages”;b:1;s:12:”delete_pages”;b:1;s:19:”delete_others_pages”;b:1;s:22:”delete_published_pages”;b:1;s:12:”delete_posts”;b:1;s:19:”delete_others_posts”;b:1;s:22:”delete_published_posts”;b:1;s:20:”delete_private_posts”;b:1;s:18:”edit_private_posts”;b:1;s:18:”read_private_posts”;b:1;s:20:”delete_private_pages”;b:1;s:18:”edit_private_pages”;b:1;s:18:”read_private_pages”;b:1;s:12:”delete_users”;b:1;s:12:”create_users”;b:1;s:14:”edit_dashboard”;b:1;}}s:6:”editor”;a:2:{s:4:”name”;s:16:”Editor|User role”;s:12:”capabilities”;a:33:{s:17:”moderate_comments”;b:1;s:17:”manage_categories”;b:1;s:12:”manage_links”;b:1;s:12:”upload_files”;b:1;s:10:”edit_posts”;b:1;s:17:”edit_others_posts”;b:1;s:20:”edit_published_posts”;b:1;s:13:”publish_posts”;b:1;s:10:”edit_pages”;b:1;s:4:”read”;b:1;s:7:”level_7″;b:1;s:7:”level_6″;b:1;s:7:”level_5″;b:1;s:7:”level_4″;b:1;s:7:”level_3″;b:1;s:7:”level_2″;b:1;s:7:”level_1″;b:1;s:7:”level_0″;b:1;s:17:”edit_others_pages”;b:1;s:20:”edit_published_pages”;b:1;s:13:”publish_pages”;b:1;s:12:”delete_pages”;b:1;s:19:”delete_others_pages”;b:1;s:22:”delete_published_pages”;b:1;s:12:”delete_posts”;b:1;s:19:”delete_others_posts”;b:1;s:22:”delete_published_posts”;b:1;s:20:”delete_private_posts”;b:1;s:18:”edit_private_posts”;b:1;s:18:”read_private_posts”;b:1;s:20:”delete_private_pages”;b:1;s:18:”edit_private_pages”;b:1;s:18:”read_private_pages”;b:1;}}s:6:”author”;a:2:{s:4:”name”;s:16:”Author|User role”;s:12:”capabilities”;a:10:{s:12:”upload_files”;b:1;s:10:”edit_posts”;b:1;s:20:”edit_published_posts”;b:1;s:13:”publish_posts”;b:1;s:4:”read”;b:1;s:7:”level_2″;b:1;s:7:”level_1″;b:1;s:7:”level_0″;b:1;s:12:”delete_posts”;b:1;s:22:”delete_published_posts”;b:1;}}s:11:”contributor”;a:2:{s:4:”name”;s:21:”Contributor|User role”;s:12:”capabilities”;a:5:{s:10:”edit_posts”;b:1;s:4:”read”;b:1;s:7:”level_1″;b:1;s:7:”level_0″;b:1;s:12:”delete_posts”;b:1;}}s:10:”subscriber”;a:2:{s:4:”name”;s:20:”Subscriber|User role”;s:12:”capabilities”;a:2:{s:4:”read”;b:1;s:7:”level_0″;b:1;}}}

    Any idea what all that means?

    I don’t have any of those (wp_capabilities, wp_4_capabilities, wp_options). It seems like if we can get in to everything except the super admin menu, we have to have some sort of permissions, but obviously not all. These are the “wp_” tables I have:

    wp_blogs
    wp_blog_versions
    wp_registration_log
    wp_signups
    wp_site
    wp_sitecategories
    wp_sitemeta
    wp_usermeta
    wp_users

    Each individual blog has a set of tables, too. This is an example of one:

    wp_1_ak_twitter
    wp_1_commentmeta
    wp_1_comments
    wp_1_links
    wp_1_options
    wp_1_postmeta
    wp_1_posts
    wp_1_publish2_error_log
    wp_1_recently_popular
    wp_1_sticky
    wp_1_terms
    wp_1_term_relationships
    wp_1_term_taxonomy
    wp_1_wpo_campaign
    wp_1_wpo_campaign_category
    wp_1_wpo_campaign_feed
    wp_1_wpo_campaign_post
    wp_1_wpo_campaign_word
    wp_1_wpo_log
    wp_1_yarpp_keyword_cache
    wp_1_yarpp_related_cache

    I am not a developer. I’m flying by the seat of my pants here. Any help you can offer is MUCH appreciated!

    I’m only going to look at this thread now. ??

    phpmyadmin has my admin account id listed as the site admin in the site meta table. I’m not sure where else to look.
